Britney has sold at least 75 million of just ALBUMS. Her record sales must be around 150 million at least (with singles, DVDs, ringtones, music videos included).
Records mean albums and singles, by all sorts; CDs, digital download, cassettes and vinyls.
In the Middle East, cassettes and vinyls were still very popular until 2003. I purchased all my Britney albums and singles in the form of cassettes. Baby One More Time, Oops I Did It Again, Britney and In The Zone. The first Britney CD I bought was Greatest Hits: My Prerogative. And after that, I started buying all the old CDs.
Vinyls and cassettes aren't counted toward her record sales, which is very wrong. I would assume she has sold over 20 million cassettes and vinyls in the Middle East ALONE.
