After three years, the album is still selling. If it was just about the whole "dance vs. 'real music'" people would have been moved on from it. You are discrediting it because of like three comments by a few misinformed people. Just correct those few individuals and move on instead listing a million examples of 20 million+ sellers released from 1972-1999 just to prove an album released in the digital era isn't up there with the best.

Adults still by music and 99% probably don't know how to pirate music but I agree piracy is a leading cause. And also why do you think album sales slowed down after Britney and the Backstreet Boys? Because people realized cheesy pop songs ≠ good albums

Album sales didn't slow down after them, albums were still fine for a few more years until the birth of limewire.
