If you think about it... longevity is key. Applause has great longevity, and I think DWUW can too.
If she performs DWUW on the grammys with Xtina and releases a refurbished vid with Xtina, then the song can still go top 10. Plus, it's still doing decent on radio.

I am still bopping to this flawless song. Because of the dust I served the amazing longevity of Applause, I've been using the powers of my car radio to play the Christina version on my many carpools. Eight out of the nine told me they loved it and asked me to send them a copy - I told them a shiny 1.29 version existed on iTunes.
