I've never been a HUGE fan of Britney, but I do quite like her as a person and when I'm in the mood for some fun, easily-digestible pop she's always been great for that. Her first album that I bought was Femme Fatale on release, and during the year it came out (2011?) I played the hell out of it. Then, when Work Bitch came out for her next album, I was in love. It's so high energy and such a guilty pleasure, that song. However, when Britney Jean came out I was DISGUSTED by the rest of the album and it really put me off of her. That said, I had ZERO expectations for this album but Make Me really blew me away and so I figured I would give her another chance. In the weeks since MM came out, I decided to listen to Blackout because I've always seen it praised on here as being her best album and whatnot. I was ASTOUNDED by this album. I probably first listened to it about two or three weeks ago and it's been on repeat since. I also figured I'd give Circus a shot while I was at it but I wasn't at all captivated by it like I was Blackout. It sounds way more dated compared to the album before it which stills sounds so fresh in my opinion. I was surprised to see that Blackout is among one of her worst reviewed albums and only has like a 61 on Meteoritic or something. That's criminal. Well anyways I'm really excited to hear this come Friday and all of the positive reception from you guys has me excited.
