It was to be done like last year's

BBNetwork/other sites release pics/bios and then the interviews on feeds with Jeff. It's not like it was to be televised or something.

Not anymore. As far as I’m aware Jeff is the only person interviewing them & if their intention were to focus more coverage on the massacre they could have easily removed the morning game show programs.
