Her best selling place according to her and I wonder why the target edition still has the anaconda instrumentals because I don't have anaconda on mine. not that i'm complaining as I don't use anaconda
If people don't see it in target nothing is stopping them from getting it on itunes or even another store.
I expect it to rise to 180k-200k but not much higher although I want my prediction to be true I'm not sure the 250k is going to happen

not much harder than any other genre.
Country has one artist who can pull in a 300k week.
Rap has, besides Drake/Em/J. Cole, Jay-Z/Kanye/Wayne when he does Tha Carter, and likely Kendrick Lamar.
Rock has Mumford and Coldplay.

The males have so much urban support but Nicki gets almost none, you'd almost expect nicki to sell better because she has the pop support that the males don't especially J. Cole and Drake to a lesser extent. I don't understand it - figures in the rap community have openly said Nicki is a better rapper than a lot of the males but they are still selling twice as much as her.
And then to add salt to the wound, Nicki isn't even selling as much as the pop females 3 albums deep
Lady GaGa: AP - 258,000/725,000
Beyoncé: IA...SF - 482,000/3,120,000
Katy Perry: P - 286,000/1,300,000
Nicki Minaj: TPP - 155,000/-
I'd have thought she'd be selling better with both the urban and the pop support she should (in theory) have.... |
J.Cole was a terrible example, seeing as none of those albums you listed for him have outsold Roman Reloaded

Yeah, I'm sure it'll increase as she has promo for every day this week.
That said, she's had pretty much every promo outlet even QVC talking about it so I really was confident about my 250/300k predictions
Radio interviews
BBMA, MTV movie awards, BET, Summer Jam, Powerhouse, VMAs, AMAs, EMAs (host)
4-5 single videos and features and feature videos
magazines galore
etc.
I'll be happy when the number increases for Tuesdays finals but yeaheithe rway you slice it (Stocking issues and all people have other outlets Itunes/Walmart/Best buy etc) this is more underwhelming than terrible.

Isn't HDD not very accurate tho?
I also thought their predictions usually always go down, not up. Like with Taylor when they predicted she'd shatter Britney Spear's record but she was a few K's short.

They probably miss a few thousands copies but it will not help at all to beat 1989's monstrous sales
