Chicago gave Renee a lot of heat but the most acclaimed performance was Julianne's in Far From Heaven.
Julianne was in the fray, too, and head and shoulders above the other two, but once the critic awards lavished all their love on her by the time the actual precursors came around she'd become less of a factor.
Yes, I agree. Argo ain't winning at the Oscars. Plus, the GG have a horrible track record. Only 2 out of the last 10 movies that have won the GG BP have won the Academy Award. A MESS.
The frontrunners will be more clear as the BAFTA and the SAG's are announced. They both have Academy members. The Globes have NONE.
Agreed. I think the SAG Awards are always more of an indicator as to who will be taking home that Oscar.
Argo is not gonna get the Oscar win. Also i think Chastain is not getting her win too. Lincoln and Les Miserables are the ones that will take the race.
I'm happy for Adele and all, but seriously, "Safe & Sound" deserves all the original song awards. That song just captures the whole mood of the Hunger Games, and it is a gorgeous song while doing so.
The Oscar field for Song is surprisingly weaker than the GG field, even if she wasn't the favorite since the song was first released.
