I have nothing against Aretha, but she clearly does not have Madonna's influence on the industry. I feel sorry for the sanity of people who believe otherwise.

Because it is plenty arguable that black folks barely use Madonna, but did I say that? Insinuate it? Nope. But, here you are saying Aretha Franklin only influenced soul singers, but not *insert white singer here*.

I know she did. But we're talking about Madonna...in the 80s of all times. I've never seen someone deny the fact that that decade was hers. She owned it, as far as females go.
Diana Ross and Tina Turner influenced EVERY pop star who gets on a stage and flings their hair or dances to sell music. They were in the business and influencing music 20 years before Madonna even came along, before The Supremes no one was using their beauty to sell music, everyone owes Diana or bringing glam to the mainstream. #fact
