“Stop callin', stop callin', I don't wanna think anymore, I left my head and my heart on the dance floor...”
Lady Gaga is at #5 once again and this time it's with her collaboration with Beyonce for their smash hit Telephone. One of the most anticipated song and music video is probably with this single, and I was blown away once again with it's concept. Everything about Telephone is amazing, the catchy lyrics and the epic video. Lady Gaga takes this song to another level, who would've taught of having a crime-scene tape as an outfit, the mass murder scene and the jail scenes are best part of the video. Beyonce and Lady Gaga made a great team-up for this hit and I can't say anything negative about it. Hands down!
04. Train “If It's Love”
“If it's love, and we decide that it's forever, no one else could do it better. If it's love, and we're two birds of a feather, then the rest is just whenever...”
Hey, Soul Sister took me ages to grow on me. The follow-up single If It's Love is an exact opposite as for just a couple of listen, it eventually made an impact to me. I will consider this as Train's best comeback song, even though the latter is their smash comeback single. I really love this song for a long time with a great lyrics taking about love. Lead singer Pat Monahan said that this song is a love song dedicated to their loyal fans after being supportive all throughout the years. I'm hoping for more songs like If It's Love from them and I bet it will be another huge hit.
03. Mariah Carey feat. Ne-Yo “Angels Cry”
“C'mon babe can't our love be revived, bring it back and we gon' make it right. I'm on the edge just tryin' to survive, as the angels cry...”
Even though this song is a complete flop, you cannot deny how beautiful Angels Cry is. This is my favorite song from Memoirs Of An Imperfect Angel and it is enough for me that Mariah Carey released this as a single. Such a beautiful track with a sad message which talks about questioning about love that cannot be revived. I'm really addicted to this song especially when it got released, Ne-Yo being featured in the track at first makes me think it will destroy the song but after hearing that version I was wrong. Just like what I said, it may not be a hit for Mariah but this adds to her memorable love ballads. Hope to see Mariah bounce back from flopness soon!
