I loved that the video had a similar art-style to the Gorillaz because me and my buddy were obsessed with them when we were younger.

I first started listening to Janet during The Velvet Rope because of Together Again.. that song really got me into her.. but I didn't really start being a huge fan until All For You.. yep!

My first JANET ALBUM!
All For You reminds me soo much of my childhood. I played it soo much that my CD Scratched and started skipping songs. I was so intrigued on how sexual she was, never listened to such a sexual album before all for you.
I was bopping to Son of the gun just today...

I haven't heard them yet. I'm just guessing. The song titles just sound good.

I turned into a J fan when I was 14 haha when she was dropping Call On Me... Turned out that was one of her biggest hits in Brazil, people love it here. I had cable tv with MTV Hits and they showed Someone To Call My Lover. I was done. Obsessed.

Janet really needs to tour South America this era. At least do a show in Brazil. Why didn't she market South America? I feel like she missed out on that. She also needs to re-visit Africa and Oceania while she's at it. I feel sorry for the die-hard fans out there.

I first discovered Janet in 1999 (I was four years old ) when my mom and I got the TVR CD at the library and we both fell in love. Then I rented the janet. cassette tape ( ), and got RN1814 and Control for my fifth birthday and the rest was history. I actually remember being so excited when I bought AFY and then immediately disappointed when my parents took it away from me because it was inappropriate and replaced with a burned CD of the non-sexual tracks

I listened to all of Janet's albums in order when I was trying to get into her and I was loving each one more and more, and All For You was the one which really wowed me for some reason.

All For You is technically her best album vocally, thematically, and lyrically (besides TVR) in my opinion. Damita Jo, 20 YO, and Discipline had no inspiration for some reason.

Control was the breakthrough album. Rhythm Nation was the peak and every album after that did progressively worse and worse sales wise.

There is a limited edition version of the album available for the UK with her eyes closed on the cover. I don't think there will be a bonus tracks on it, just an alternate cover. You can preorder this version if you guys prefer this cover more. ...Or you can just buy both.

THE TASTE, SIS!
I love Control, though. It's worthy.

Maybe it's because she released it with the intention of releasing her album shortly after, Rihanna.

Son of a Gun will always be one of my favorite Janet tracks, if not the Janet track for me. I have some of Carly's spoken word as art in my house. People always compliment it.

I would have raged! I don't know what my life would have been without the explicit slayage of When We Oooo, China Love, Love Scene (Ooh Baby), and Would You Mind all one right after the other. The amount of times Janet coos c** inside of me, lawd!

Sisters, I must confess: I know this isn't the base, but y'all have inspired me to check out Control (a personal fav) again, followed by JJRN1814 and now janet. and I have so much more respect for JJRN1814 and janet. now. Like the transition from albums is flawless and you can see her growth. I always thought janet. was a RN knock-off, but my word, I was scalped by You Know/You Want Me today.
Then going from janet. to TVR, woo lawd––Janetsus take the wheel.
So from my lips to yours, thank you JanFam.

All For You is still my favorite, with TVR closely behind, but it makes it a damn hard decision to choose her best albums! They're all just so good! Not a lot can say that about their faves.
