But seriously, how did this even happen. This is the most shocking elimination I've seen so far.

How can you not remember it when it's from one of the best R&B albums of that decade?

Sorry, supaspaz.........
53. Robyn- With Every Heartbeat (7.132)
Highest score: 10 x9 (HaHa2011, madonnas, Cassiopeia, conseeded, adrianbeane, airbornE, Pink Panther, Chemist, Konichiwa)
Lowest score: 1 x2 (Strangergab, VJoker)
An unflattering picture of Robyn:
(The Mediaeval era called. They want their hair back)
A record first produced using every High Schooler's producer tool Sibelius, this is one of the more unconventional #1s in the rate. Mostly because it doesn't have a discernible chorus. The airy, ethereal feel went down a hit with the public and the media at large however; Popjustice making it the song of 2007. More to the point however, it's the first time since Mel C that a woman with totally ridiculous man hair reached the top of the charts. We're still waiting for the taker of this throne.
Jinzo's verdict: 8
Lovely and atmospheric, but just devoid of that extra spark and wow factor to really make me fall in love.

......
Now this just makes no sense. Both of these songs were 10s! Both of them could have easily fit into the top 10!!!!

And now I have to turn in because of stupid work things. Sorry! The other four tomorrow. They are TASTY.
One is by a big US girl, one is by someone that was a big US girl, one is a Brit girl, one is/are a MESS.

**** no. That Aaliyah song is a masterpiece. I'm not surprised, but I'm still very, very upset.

I totally forgot "So What" was even still here. Too high.
I love "Bulletproof," but Elly Jackson is such an unpleasant bitch. I'm glad her U.S. relevance was so short-lived.
Haters can fall back on the flawless Aaliyah and "More Than a Woman." How was that song not at least top 25?
I think "With Every Heartbeat" is great because its unconventional structure. I live for the emotional release of the "And it hurts with every heartbeat" section after two-and-a-half minutes of build-up. Sad dance songs are awesome!

Aside from Aaliyah, these eliminations were good.
But seriously, More Than A Woman is a standout in Aaliyah's already impressive discography.
One of the songs I most wanted in the top ten

Lowest score: 0 x3 (JDella11, Glassheart, adrianbeane)
An unflattering picture of Pink:
Would you believe this was the first time ever that Pink hit the US #1 as a soloist? And so it was. Normally the domain of more swift songwriters, So What tackles the thorny issue of a previous breakup. Original. A Max Martin production. Original. Cutting down a tree and riding a lawnmower. Original?
More importantly, the song was covered by The Chippettes for did-better-than-Part-Of-Me box office smash hit Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakuel. Except that time around, the singing was somewhere near tolerable.
Jinzo's verdict: 8
Boring and dry lyrically, but an undeniable banger of a chorus. Well done Alecia, though it was the beginning of your slippery downward slope.

Lowest score: 0 x2 (Strangergab, Glassheart)
An unflattering picture of La Roux:
From one terribly-haired girl to another! The bequiffed one, Ms. Eleanor Jackson, earnt her first and only #1 here with this much-fanfared-by-NME-type-elitist-snobs hit. Applying dance-pop mainstream vibes to a catchy beat and melody, Ms. Roux rode the crest of an electronic wave in 2009. Ms. Roux then went on to badmouth a number of singers, including Rihanna, for applying dance-pop mainstream vibes to a catchy beat and melody. I guess she's going In For The Kill.
Jinzo's verdict: 5.5
It's good- well, passable. But the harsh reality is that it's neither I'm Not Your Toy, Tigerlily or In For The Kill.

''More Than A Woman'' and ''With Every Heartbeat'' are some of the best songs in this whole rate.
