Britney has always been a boundary pusher and a trend setter - she IS the Robyn of the U.S. when it comes to sonic production. She's completely bought it this era vocally & with her attitude. She finally sounds like she's having fun - it's just a shame the producers have only given their bare minimum. Did RCA cut her funding or what? We've been getting bare-boned and amateur production since FF, minus WB.

I'm also an older fan and I agree with you. So far the songs on Glory have been very lackluster. Make Me is the best one, but it's not 1st single-material from Britney. I expect so much more. Really getting worried about this album now. I appreciate that she seems to be into it and enjoying it but I feel like it's not gonna be good Music wise for my taste

That's the thing. Brit has always been the perfect vehicle for little known producers to bring forth and experiment with sound in a big way. She broke the mold with Toxic, Gimme More, Womanizer & HAIM. She set the scene and gave us fresh and exciting sounds.

None of this is present in the new tunes. It's actually quite poorly produced.
