But they're sexy kings, so it doesn't matter
Although, I think there have been more airplay-driven songs this year. AIW just crossed 2 million this week.

You said ur surprised how long it lasted... My reply was it's only 2 weeks. It's not a lot
Now if we're talking about iTunes then yeah, but this is the Hot 100 thread
And btw I'm pretty sure John Legend is second

Woops. Don't mind me.
But really, if that is the case then it literally is like the worst selling Pop #1. If looking at the last 5 years say anything.

Despite the theories it sold just as bad, and is only Platinum.
2,169,000, "Daylight"
It's multi-platinum, something NABT is likely to not reach. Therefore my statement that it's the lowest-selling Pop #1 in over 8 years remains correct.

All Pop #1's in 2014, 2013, 2012, 2011, 2010, and 2009 are multi-platinum.
Only in 2008 was Jessie McCartney's "Leavin'" Platinum, but apparently it's sold over 2mil and just undercertified.
From 2007 non mutli-platinum Pop #1's "Who Knew" was certified Platinum in 2008, therefore it's total currently is probably over NABT's. (NABT has sold 1.2 mil at most). 'Cupid's Chokehold' has sold 1.9 mil as of 2011. "U + Ur Hand" was certified Platinum in '07 therefore it's total is also ahead in 2014.
From 2006 only non multi-platinum certified singles are "Lips of an Angel" sold over 1.1 million in just Winter, it's not certified though. That leaves it against 'Stickwitu' and 'Far Away' which were both released late 2005 / early 2006. But even then it's a possibility they have outsold.
Just.... @ the fact the last song that sold less may have been before digital sales even started.

NaBT was perfect radio filler. It sounded great on radio, but it was not a song a casual listener would typically remember to buy afterwards (imo).

Easily the most forgettable Top 10 of this decade so far, not including Viral Sensations (What Does the Fox Say?, Harlem Shake, that Soko song, etc).

Harlem Shake is not forgettable, I think it's so cool to listen to the song and remember all the meme videos. It was so fun

But NABT didn't go that high on Radio, I think it got till close to 125M on Nielsen, compared to 165M for Am I Wrong NABT wasn't THAT big of hit as Am I Wrong, too.
Am I Wrong is more Airplay driven

How is 2M for 165M peak worse than 1.2M for 125M peak? 1/4 less airplay, yet 2x less sales.
NABT was just as big of a radio hit. It just didn't feel like a big hit overall, because ofcourse, it failed in every other component (which is why it was more driven).

Am I Wrong sold more appropriately for its amount of airplay compared to Bad Thing.
