I don't mind it, but it's nothing special and it's not as iconic as videos like "Bad Romance", "Paparazzi", and "Telephone". I didn't mind it and it definitely gave me emotions that made me want to get up and dance and it did make me like the song more, but... It's just not that good of a video as opposed to her previous stuff. She could've done much more with it to make it better. Some of the effects weren't great, though; not to mention, Goose Gaga was really creepy....

I really like the song. It ain't her best but then again not many of her singles are very good. Although I do love Bad Romance. Applause was one that appealed to me straight away musically and once I figured out what the lyrics were I liked it even more. It's cleverly written.

As for the video... I like the colors. That's about it. I think it's too messy and her stans are finding every reason to praise it as an "artistic message" when it's just a jumbled up mess of make-up and scenery. There is no artistic message and if there is, it's very well hidden under all the chaos. It's got nothing on say Bad Romance, You And I or even The Edge Of Glory. Those were concept videos. Very clever ones at that.
