The only ones trying it are certain LMs who label anyone with a negative opinion a troll or a hater. I'm a huge Gaga fan, I really hope Joanne smashes, but I, personally, am not feeling this era so far. Why exactly does that make me (or anyone with the same opinion) a hater?
I like the vibe of the video, the photography, she looks amazing, her energy, but I would have preferred less 'flashy' scenes and less "moviment" in the direction, overall it's good for the song.
I was half-expecting a "Gaga" moment though. Interestingly, it was a pleasant surprise how she flipped the script and avoided the extravagance for the simplicity for depicting how one feels while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
Um, this is AMAZING. I don't get the lukewarm response.
It's chaotic, messy and angry, just like the song and it all fits perfectly. It's like the most natural and least try-hard thing she's ever done and she's serving presence with 0 gimmicks. It's also completely different from all her other visuals, which is exactly what she needed for a reinvention.
And honestly, I kind of gave the song a chance a few days ago and it goes OFF on the treadmill. She may not be winning the GP over, but I'm kind of on board, ngl
I've watched some random reactions on youtube, gay, straight, male, women, couples, lm, haters, kids, young adults, adults... They all seem to like it, some of them talked about the flashing lights the general response is good, in fact, some of them really understood the mood of the song AFTER the video and the liked it after the first watch... and the pop fans, even the LM, were the ones complaining, lol.
I love the simplicity and passion of this video. It's a nice contrast to the 13 minute short films she was serving us in her previous eras.

You're trying it with this "I'm so above the rest of this fanbase so I'm gonna make snarky negative comments about the video and talk down to the monsters so I look cool on the internet" business. There's a way to have a negative opinion and coming into this thread to make posts saying "trash" and "tragic" are not it.
