It is a shame that she's probably going to miss the boat on the disco/pop trend entirely. Trust her to be releasing a jazz album when a genre she'd slay is on trend.
Anyone else feeling like it's so up in the air when she'll return with #5? Like, I feel it could be as early as February or as late as 2016 at this point, depending on what their plan is. Will they let her have a break to pursue other projects and let demand grow...or will they just get her back on that horse ASAP for damage control?
The sound of #5 is so dependant on when it comes. They need to be just ahead of the trend, or so different that it creates one.

Gaga can't take another extended break after C2C/ARTPOP. Can't happen. They've gotta use C2C and the space performance to get the ball rolling on #5.

Most logical thing to do. I may be being too pessimistic, but it's somewhat hard to imagine Gaga being embraced again in as soon as 6 odd months.
Here's to C2C offering an autumnal rebirth for the media/critics to get back on board so they don't obstruct casuals being won back with her next pop move.

Have you listened to The Fame recently?

I honestly want Gaga to sell out for her next album and pander to radio, cuz I want her around for a long time and I'd like hearing her on the radio again once in a while

I say give her some time. It's kind of cute that you guys think she'd be willing to adjust her sound for whatever current radio trend. I mean don't get me wrong, it's a smart thing for her to do, but I honestly don't think that's what she wants to do. Nor do I think she will. I will say however that they should give her some time to see where music does eventually head.
In the meantime she should keep her ear to the ground to see what she could bring forth from the underground to create a new trend that she herself could benefit from. Stay within the realm of current, but steer towards something new. Quite like what she did with the fame/the fame monster. The fame brought along something fresh while staying somewhat in the current trend of music, and then being able to truly ride that trend during TFM.
An album with 90s throwback feel wouldn't fare all that bad actually. Something like Kiesza. Knowing her we'd get some weird 2010 electro pop album with all those dance breaks and stuff

Exactly. Nick is often right in his opinions but this is just a blatant lie. The Fame as cute and classic as it is, sounds very dated. ARTPOP, whether people like it or not, still sounds fresh and definitely way more fresh than TF.
Aura, Venus, Sexxx Dreams, MANiCURE, DWUW, Artpop, Fashion!, Dope and Applause are the songs that still have that fresh sound.

see i agree so much.. legit every single song.. but the public is just not that here for Gaga. DWUW was handled very messily, but it DID get a lot of promo.. if Rih had released DWUW and given it the promo that it had, no video, it would've been a smash anyway imo.

THIS. Break Free & Clarity may be bigger hits but his work on Aura, Donatella, & GUY are wayyy better.

Honestly, how? Nothing on ARTPOP is really commercially viable enough to be a successful single. Unless you mean being released for the heck of it. In which case, the same could be said for any and every track from any and every album.

People thinking more than 4 singles was possible Literally none of these songs were radio material, not even Applause was really radio material. My boyfriend keeps complaining about every song on radio being 13 a dozen, and it really is. ARTPOP, however, isn't... Gaga needs to get back to current and generic music if she wants hits

A new album next year would mean ARTPOP II tbh, cuz I can't imagine her writing new material and adopting a new sound so soon, it'd probably sound forced. + People who think this space performance is gonna happen, be prepared to be let down, I don't think it's going to happen

Of course, the problem here is that she doesn't have any idea what she wants. She doesn't HAVE to make "current and generic music" to get hits, but yes, it would be easier for her to that way. She could get hits by just making "good music," which ARTPOP, to me, is not (while I'll acknowledge that it is for others, like DonnieDarko here). But the "everything, including the kitchen sink" approach that she takes when having her songs produced isn't going to work for that.

not necessarily. It's been a year since ARTPOP vol 1.. and it's not like the music she's been writing since then is for C2C, so that means she could have already been working on a new sound.

That's true...
Then I hope at least that ACT II, with a good lead single choice.(maybe a new song).. idk ,, but one thing I'm sure, she CAN'T take another break like she did with btw-ARTPOP.
Her career needs a huge new era quickly, if not...
