I've noticed there is a Muslim thread. Can we make threads about each religion now? Will I be allowed to make a Satanist Thread and not get closed because this is my belief and we won't attack other religions?

An Atheist thread was opened yesterday and many Muslims / Christians invaded and attacked Atheists. Why should your thread be immune to attacks? I can very well step in and state my opinions on Islam just like some people did in the Atheist thread. But I will be warned and probably thread-banned.

About my previous post, I'm not a Satanist. I was trying to make a point just because you believe in something doesn't make it appropriate. ATRL is a music forum above all, I don't need to see Muslims, Christians or whatever shoving their opinions or lifestyle in my face. Religion is one of those things to keep in your house. This is not school nor government. Make this place free and happy, not backwards.

I threaten to attack the Muslim thread if it is not closed. I had a place for myself yesterday called the Atheist thread, but many God believers had to come in and make a fuss and mockery of everything when it was supposed to be an Atheist thread only. If I cannot have my thread, Muslims or Christians cannot have theirs.

I request mods to delete the offensive posts in the Atheist thread, or delete all Beliefs-based threads to solve this issue. Thanks.

The Atheist thread is still open. It hasn't been closed. No serious attacks were in the thread either. Some people shouldn't have entered the thread, I agree, but as an Atheist I wasn't offended by any of it. If you let it settle down I'm sure that will all pass and it will be fine. In fact - the last post in the thread was 13 hours ago.

About your threat: That sounds cool and all, but all that will result in is that you get banned while the thread remains unharmed.

Don't get me wrong - I understand your frustration, but I think your reaction is a little overboard. If the Atheist thread keeps being trolled I'll step in, but for now it's not past that point yet.

Phoenetic, there were attacks. I was not offended but there were attacks. God believers saying things like 'God exists', 'See the light' or ' you will go to hell' are disrespectful in a thread made for Atheists. Most of their posts are unwarned. If I go in the Muslim thread and say 'Allah doesn't exist', 'you should stop praying', 'there is no hell', there is a high chance that I will be warned. Just because I am an atheist, I should accept the claims of God believers. But just because I am an atheist, I cannot state my opinions and views on a religion. This is how society works unfortunately, and ATRL is behaving the same way.

I don't support Beliefs-threads at all because all it does is create tension. Why not ban them all together? I cannot even post in the Atheist thread because someone will quote me and say I am wrong. Yet the Muslim thread should stay flourishing in calm and purity.

I understand what you're saying, however like you said - that's kind of how society is. Just like how when a white person is racist to a black person it is generally considered much worse than when a black person is racist to a white person. That's not a perfect simile as there's a legitimate reason behind that, but I'm sure you understand what I'm getting at.

In the end some things are more accepted in society than others. Sometimes that's not fair, I agree. But ATRL doesn't pretend to be above that.

There were some people claiming that atheists will go to hell in that thread, you're right. There's also a lot of atheists who say anyone who's religious is stupid for believing in fairy tales. Religious discussions never really go well, sadly.

So, as I said, if the thread gets worse some mod will take care of it, but it's not past that point yet.

But your feedback regarding religious threads is heard. If we decide religious threads become too much of a mess we'll decide what we'll have to do about it. For now I don't think we need to do anything yet.

I was browsing through the Atheist and Muslim threads and I think the OP need to include a note that says no trolling because I think it's cool when members ask about atheism and Islam but when they just go to thread to say they do not agree with it in a rude way that's not okay. I saw it happening in both threads, in both threads members entered to try to convince atheists and Muslims to abandon their beliefs because X reason and that's wrong imo

how exactly are they shoving it in your face just by having a thread? nobody's forcing you to look at it and it's clearly labeled and easy to avoid. this is a stupid thing to get mad about
