What I love about CTC is how it's so non-competitive unlike a pop release. There isn't any chart expectations, the song isn't even being sent to radio. I feel like that's something Gaga likes about releasing the album. All people will be judge is her talent and vocals, not how much it debuts with or how it favours in comparison to others (which is impossible since there's very few high profile jazz artists releasing this year, if any, and no one of her contemporaries have the balls or talent to do a straight jazz record with a jazz legend). So, she's basically in a league of her own with this record and is something that separates her from the other pop girls.

MTE. It's pleasant to just sit back and enjoy it without the discussions and handwringing over chart positions. This is how it should be.
That said, I'm surprised at well its done. I wasn't expecting it to break into the top 100 tbh. I think the "Gaga is over!!1!" media spin distorted my perception some.
