Probably due to how settlers didn't think there was all the remaining land in the US before the Louisiana Purchase?
I'm not entirely sure, but it would make sense if that was the reason.
Ah, my favorite!
I hate those people who thought slavery was a good thing for both parties and that the slaves loved being slaves. I literally felt like I was losing brain cells.
I really hope they all get into an accident so that mentality isn't spread further.
It's ****ing disgusting. They know what all of it stands for.
I saw that Chelsea Handler doc. When the lady suggested slavery wasn't bad I live in Charleston and I've seen that plantation, the lenght people go to hide history
Ch...that entire scene at the plantation had me feeling some type of way. They basically made it seem like a normal thing and then to do reenactments of some of the events that occurred during those times of slavery
I find it funny how America has so many places named after British towns because they usually never match up.
Like.. your Southampton / Hamptons.. nothing like our Southampton
Because they said physicians make more money in places where there are a shortage of doctors. And what place is better than Wyoming which has a shortage of people too!
