People say this, but it's not really true...
Ke$ha had to compete against rival lead singles "Diamonds" by Rihanna (second most #1s for a female in music in history) and "Locked Out Of Heaven" (arguably one of the most successful men in pop music at the time), as well as smash hits like "One More Night" by Maroon 5, viral sensation "Gangnam Style" by PSY and hit "Some Nights" by fun... don't forget 'Hurricane Swift' with Taylor Swift's iTunes Countdown singles storming up the charts, One Direction's lead single, as well as tracks by Flo Rida, Carly Rae Jepsen and Owl City... I mean, there was a LOT of competition for "Die Young", really.
