Cycle 8 Reunion: Part 1
The stage is dark, save for one spotlight, shining from straight above down on one tall ginger, who looks straight into the camera, smiles, and holds a microphone to his mouth.
"Hello and welcome to the ATRL's Next Top Member Cycle 8 Reunion! I'm Matty, your host for tonight and the lead judge throughout the competition. It's been an exciting ride, but it's not over yet! We're gonna wrap things up and go out with a bang before our hiatus begins. It's only right that our most exciting and biggest cycle yet gets a special send off!
"Tonight we're going to hear from the finalists of Cycle 8, as well as some of the judges. Let's go ahead and bring out your finalists!"
The studio audience begins to applaud tremendously as the 13 finalists, EdgeOfAddiction, collin, boyonce, Energy, VJoker, ethan, DillonATRL, TheSeenScene, team zune XD, Sloth, Hugamari, MusicLoverDude, and Ammer walk out together, some walking closer together than others. As they walk, flowers are thrown at EdgeOfAddiction and Hugamari, although Hugamari doesn't have a chance to grab his before MusicLoverDude has picked them up and continued walking. They take their place on the couches after waving, blowing kisses, and bowing for the audience.
Matty takes his seat in the middle of the couches and wastes no time.
"Alright, welcome everybody to the reunion special! We'll be right back after a word from our sponsors."

Cycle 8 Reunion: Part 2
Following a commercial break, the group has left the couches, leaving only Matty and Ammer. They try to appear as though they are talking and laughing as the show comes back in, but it's obvious that there is something wrong. Perhaps something happened during the commercial break that has everyone on edge? Even the audiences' applause has become weaker.
"Welcome back to the ATRL's Next Top Member Cycle 8 Reunion," says Matty, a grin plastered on his face as he straightens his tie. "Right now, I'm sitting down with Ammer, one of the earliest departures this cycle. Let's roll his tape."
Ammer's tape begins to play, but it is painfully short. It shows him entering the house and picking a room, but the rest of his package is other contestants talking about him because he didn't do much else. He seems to be generally liked amongst the group, earning a reputation as someone who had the look and personality of a top member.
The clip ends and Matty turns to Ammer, who has developed a habit of blinking profusely. Something is definitely going on behind the scenes. They continue on as if nothing has happened.
"Alright," says Matty. "You came into this cycle a veteran, having competed previously and quite successfully in Cycle 7. Did you see that as an advantage or a disadvantage?"
"Definitely an advantage," Ammer replies. "I knew the inner-workings of the show already, what the judges expected, how to handle the drama in the house, and everything like that."
"So, what happened?" Matty asks, puzzled. "You were eliminated so early on."
"I don't know, maybe I should ask you, Matty!" Ammer replies, with a laugh. The two share an awkward chuckle.
"I definitely see Top Member potential in you," Matty says, placing his hand on Ammer's shoulder. "This time around, we didn't get a taste of the Ammer that I know is in there, but I hope you'll be back to join us in a future cycle. I know you can shine amongst the right group of people."
"Thank you, Matty, that means a lot," Ammer says, tears forming in his eyes.
As Ammer's emotions build, Matty grows wide-eyed and turns to look at someone standing off-stage. He is trying to be discreet so as not to alarm the viewers at home. He quickly turns back to the camera, smiling too hard.
"Alright, we're gonna take a quick commercial break, we'll be right back with even more interviews and reunion!" he says, beads of sweat beginning to form on his face. The TV fades to a commercial for Axe.

Cycle 8 Reunion: Part 3
Following the commercial break, Matty is standing center stage again, wiping sweat from his forehead.
"Before we continue with our interviews, we're going to watch our first 'Sound-Off' clip, where we asked each contestant and judge about various aspects of the competition. Roll the tape!" he says, twirling his finger in the air and dropping his sweat rag.
A header flashes on the screen:
" THE BANNED CONTESTANTS: HOW DO YOU THINK LIL MISTY, KYKY, AND DRIPDRIP WOULD HAVE DONE IN THE COMPETITION HAD THEY NOT BEEN BANNED?"
Each contestant and judge states their response in pre-recorded statement from a confessional booth.

He's like the Sanjaya of ATRL because all I really see him do is troll all the time like an idiot. EdgeOfAddiction won because he's able to post without sounding like an idiot, but rather a Regina George. KyKy would have probably made it to the Semi-Final. He has that attitude and sassiness that would have gotten him far.

To be honest, I don't think Lil Misty would have lasted long at all. I just didn't see the desire from them during the casting process that I saw from everyone else. I honestly feel to Misty it was just something to do because they were bored. As for Kyky, I'm not very familiar with them at all so I can't really say how they would have done for sure. DripDrip however would have at least made it to the top seven.

Lil Misty probably would have been banned before he could even submit so let's not. KyKy quit because he did not want to do all the work so there you go. Would have loved them to be in the competition though.

It's hard to say how they would have done because none did any challenges so I could see their potential. However, I will say if those three were in the top 14, things might have been different.

It depends on how seriously they would have taken it. Lil Misty and KyKy both have clear, strong personalities that make them stand out -- I'd say they could have made it to the Top 5 if they had wanted to. It all depends on how much effort they were willing to put into this. DripDrip could have had a Collin-type run, but it would have been harder for him to last that far into the game.

As the clip ends, the audience applauds, and the camera shows Matty now sitting with Dylan. Dylan sits with his legs spread, a grin on his face and his hands in his lap, as Matty sits upright, waiting for his cue to begin. He is still tense.

Cycle 8 Reunion: Part 4
"Our next guest made quite a mark on this Cycle despite his early offing," Matty says, reading from a teleprompter. "Ladies and gentlemen, Dylan."
The crowd applauds as Dylan waves, winking at a hot guy in the front row wearing a PacSun shirt. He soaks up the attention, beaming until Matty clams the audience down.
"So, Dylan," says Matty. "Tell me a bit about your experience in the house. Did you enjoy it?"
"Well, no. Don't get me wrong, Matty, you did a good job with the game. Maybe it was the cast, maybe it was just different than what I expected, maybe some people annoyed the sh it out of me acting all high and mighty on a music forum...but I didn't enjoy it," Dillon responds, drawing 'oohs' from the crowd.
Matty is taken aback, not necessarily offended, but surprised at how candid Dylan is being. He decides to take advantage of Dylan's apparent intoxication.
"That's okay, everyone has a different experience! Were you surprised with how far you made it in the competition?" Matty asks, placing his fingers on his chin like Oprah does when asking deep questions.
Dylan shrugs.
"I wasn't surprised when I made the Top 14 due to the vote thing we did at the beginning because I believe I'm pretty liked here. Then when we got to the challenges, I just wasn't feeling it. I submitted last and not because I was working extra hard So my elimination wasn't too surprising although THAT particular challenge I didn't think I was being eliminated based on the comments from the judges, which was really confusing, but whatever… I wasn't in it to win it from the start of the actual game. I went out with a laugh because I just didn't really care at that point."
Matty nods his head, trying to focus on Dylan's response but clearly still pre-occupied with the events going on behind the scenes. He doesn't even notice the insolence in Dylan's response before moving on to the next question flashing on the teleprompter.
"Anything you'd do differently?" he says, placing his leg on his shoulder.
"No," Dylan says, enjoying this opportunity to sound off his true feelings. "Really, I don't regret anything. I was at major peace with my elimination. I didn't really enjoy my time in that thread beyond the Top 14. Other than ethan "
"Well I guess that answers my next question," Matty says with a chuckle. "Which of your fellow contestants was your favorite and why?"
Dylan laughs, turns to the audience and places his hand on his ear, beckoning the audience to shout who they think it is. A resounding "Ethan" comes from the audience.
"Ethan, he's better than all of you without even trying," Dylan says, throwing his hands in the air. The audience laughs, and Matty nervously laughs along.
"No surprise there, the true bromance of this cycle right there, folks," says Matty, slapping his knee. "Well, Dylan, thanks so much for your time, we enjoyed having you on the show, and hope to see you back soon!"
"Don't count on it," Dylan says with a chuckle, although he is cut off by Matty's next statement.
"Before we head to break, we've got another 'Sound-Off' clip to show you. Don't forget to text your favorite contestant to 1-888-436-ANTM, results will be announced at the end of the show!" Matty says, immediately standing up to walk off stage as soon as he finishes. The screen darkens and a new clip begins to play.
A header flashes on the screen:
" GUT REACTIONS: WHO DID YOU INITIALLY THINK WOULD BE THE TOP 3?"

For Ammer, I was expecting him to take his elimination from Cycle 7 and drive him to being top call out about each week, or at least in the top half. Finally, Edge. He's basically ATRL. Even though I was not particularly fond of his entries in the beginning, I still saw him in the final 3.
