Don't believe him, he always irked my nerves when I was lurking. Then Lemonade dropped and she kept getting 100s on metacritic and he had a meltdown all the way to banned

Chance wins Rap Album, Sturgill loses Country Album (it's more alternative than country idk what's it doing there anyway), Adele wins Pop Album

About Sturgill Simpson.. Unless you are a legend with an history of grammy noms in the past (especially AOTY) like Beck, the irrelevant/random albums rarely win AOTY. I don't know what they tried to do with that one and I don't really think that we should be threatened by him. Morning Phase was irrelevant but Beck is a legend who was robbed before and his career is longer than Bey's. Simpson had one grammy nom in the past and released his first album in 2013 so all of this looks like straight up trolling (like Sara Bareilles being nominated over JT in 2014)

Yeah, I don't think Sturgill is that much of a threat, but his presence should still be taken seriously as he'll likely be a default option for the anti pop country/rock types. He only has three albums under his belt and doesn't have some long history of snubs -- he's only been nominated twice, which is good. I think the race will ultimately be between Bey and Adele and I also think the voters are kind of aware they did Bey wrong af in 2015, so hopefully that will work in her favor this time around.

i just picture them announcing Adele's name...i just dont want to get sucked into the hype again & be let down

there was no reason to believe that ST wasnt going to win the last time going into the Grammy's. i know ppl bring up Pharell but even with that...i remember ppl posting that there had been other AOTY winners that didnt win their genre. i dont remember the specifics but it happened before.
