I just wanna say a) how glad I am that I stan for someone who wants to be more than "just an entertainer" for herself and for her fans and b) that I stan for someone who understands that their fans are the entire reason they get to do what they do and c) that iI stan for someone who knows you can never love your fans enough and that you should be devoted to your fans since they're the ones who are responsible for your success.

Katy knows fine well that it's neither believable nor endearing for her to say that she'd die for the art and her fans. Like she says, she is just an entertainer. People don't want more than that from her, nor is she willing or capable of offering it.
Whilst Gaga gets irritating with her grandiose waffle, you get that she bleeds passion. She ****ing LOVES this. For someone to adopt such an energetic and enigmatic persona indefinitely - you'd have to. She lives, breathes and sleeps fame, music and theatre. Plus, strategically, there's a lot of self-fulfilling prophecy going on. Associate "Lady Gaga" with "art", "talent", "music", "costumes", "fashion", "passion", "performing" etcccc. enough (regardless of reason), and guess what she becomes synonymous with? Have a think what her contemporaries are associated with.
Regarding fans, her actions speak louder than words - and that's saying something. On the marketing side of things, she has created a lifestyle brand that thousands of fans willingly buy into. It's not just music - it's fandom, it's an experience and it's a community. It definitely has its downsides (crazy obsessives, entitlement, alienating casuals etc.) but she invested enough into it all early on that she can largely just sit back and reap the rewards now. The ARTPOP era being a testament to that.
Whilst it may seem OTT, bizarre, and less immediately rewarding to some record labels/acts, they'll see the downside of pandering to the fickle public instead of establishing this brand and following when things go sour.

Is the rumour about Boys Boys Boys video being shot true? Or not? And did they actually film any of the original TEOG video before abandoning it due to creative differences? If so, I hope we see it one day

I don't think the BBB video was filmed, but i remember reading a concept and it involving her walking over a sea of men
TEoG I think they filmed some of the dance scene, bc all the dancers were sent home towards the end of the day

I would be legit disappointed if she stopped with the ball thing. Even though The Fame Ball and The Monster Ball were the only ones that really fit lol

The Monster Ball and TBTWB are the only ones that roll off the tongue imo
I'm so excited for Cheek to Cheek but I'm not ready to let ARTPOP go even though it's the messiest era shes ever had. I still need the Telephone continuation.
