Omg. I've been spending the majority of the past 18 hours of life trying to find someone to write my Jazz paper on. Like I want a happy medium between someone who has enough information online to write a decently long paper about them and someone who isn't so damn well known that my teacher will see all through my made up, superfluous ******** about them. Omg, so hard.

Just curious, why does he wanna work there? Couldn't he find a different place to work at? I'm not saying you should have MADE him find a different job, but not sure why he'd even wanna be near his ex-buddy... 
Is your bf only working there to help out with the opening, or is it like a part time gig? And I guess they are still friends...just not with the benefits part? hmm pretty interesting if that's the case.
Seems like a conflict of interest. Idunno. I'm with you man I'd be pissed, it's a natural human reaction.

It's for one day, and he wanted the extra money. When he asked me, it really caught me off guard and I didn't have time to say anything other than "That's fine..." Now, if he were to ask how I'd feel about him working there permanently, I would be adamantly against it. The guy knows that we're together, but what if he doesn't care? What if he tries to split us up or something? He's not really much of a threat because he's much, much older than we are, and my boyfriend never had any intentions of being in a relationship with him. But it still bothers me. They aren't really friends anymore; they didn't talk for several months when my boyfriend and I first got together. But he texted my boyfriend a few weeks ago, and my boyfriend said something along the lines of, "Hey, just so you know, I'm in a relationship now," and I guess he asked him if he'd be able to help out today a few days ago.
I wanted to tell him that I didn't feel comfortable with it, but I know he would have backed out of doing it then and I didn't want him to be upset or annoyed with me. But I should have just said something when I had the chance, because now he doesn't know how I really feel about it. I guess I'll just wait to hear what happened. My boyfriend and I are extremely honest with each other, and I'm sure he'd tell me if he tried to hit on him or something.

Ooh it's only one day, that's not bad. If your bf even dares to tell you the guy wants him to come help him work at the store again, then yeah the answer is a definite hell no. Otherwise I wouldn't worry at all too.
