I have and always will be a loyal nintendo stan, but what they've done in recent years with certain franchises is just ridiculous.
Paper Mario is basically never going back to the golden standard RPG with badges, partners, and levels because of stubborn Miyamoto's ignorance on what the general public wants.
Sticker Star was supposed to be like
TTYD but then he said its too similar and needs to be generic and fit more with the
NSMB series. And just when the obvious move of doing an HD remaster to
TTYD similar to how
Zelda Wind Waker got one came along, we are now getting
Color Splash instead which seems more or less
Sticker Star 2.0
Mario Party seems like it will never go back to the way it was games 1-8 with standard boards and proper star collecting due to the possible "gambling" insinuation from paying coins for a star...so they tarnish the series with lackluster vehicles all characters are bound to and then put more effort into the
Wii Party series (which in comparison to the new vehicle Mario Party games is much better, but still pales in comparison to the old Mario Party games)
Animal Crossing seems like it won't have a Wii U console game, which is a darn shame due to all the 3D models and assets just sitting ready to made into a game. I've played Amiibo Festival at my friend's house and find it amusing, but rather hollow at the core. It looks fantastic though! I wish we could get a Wii U game even if it was a
City Folk situation where the handheld game was simply cloned over to the console for sake of better graphics, but I guess it's not in the cards (only in the random collectible amiibo cards for only all the $$$ in the world)
I'm not going to abandon them though, I'll stick with them no matter what. It's just hard to see them just screw up the easy things that make sense
