Gaga's biggest fault is, that she was too good before.

I mean, there's no denying she doesn't have the 'cool' factor she used to. However, now she is an established artist, with an established fan base. She will continue to sell records and singles, have successful tours and remain on the lips of legends within the industry. She has done more in her 6 short years than many have with careers that span decades. She is more than capable of reinvention, she has the artistic drive and vision. She is here to stay.

Thing is, when you have a peak as big as Gaga... where is there to go next? Generally - down. The media were quick to jump on board and shun her (and when they do speak of her, its kinda negative which skews the public perception of her to an extent), but they'll be back. Many pop stars have been through similar. She isn't the first and won't be the last.

The most impressive part of this era is the Top 10 for 14 weeks receipt for Applause. Like, that's just amazing. I didn't think this song would be Top 10 for more than a month, tbh. But nearly 4 months?? It's incredible the longevity and continued radio support this had.

And the fact that DWUW reached 90M AI without a video or strong sales?? Radio was really on her side until she went into blackout mode. If she had sent Gypsy to radio in late January/early February I really think it would've smashed. She really ****ed that up bad. it's sad.
