Charli XCX performs at Lollapalooza

After a heavy promotional week all around Europe, Charli flew to Chicago to perform at the Lollapalooza festival and later, attend the MTV VMAs. Right before the performance on the huge music festival Charli tweeted multiple excited tweets about she was impressed that she's finally performing at such festivals. She also posted a youtube videos of her rehearsals of 'Tokyo Lights' on youtube titled "Charli XCX - The Tokyo Lights Lollapalooza Rehearsals". 'Tokyo Lights', 'Alone in the Dark', and 'Hooked On It' performances were all uploaded to Youtube afterwards. Charli's performance was the most advertised performance of the whole show as well.
To pump up the crowd, Charli sang the hit song she has with Icona Pop and that she wrote, the Top 10 hit song 'I Love It'. The whole crowd instantly recognized her and started screaming and singing-along the lyrics. Charli danced all by herself on stage, some random but amazing dance moves but she impressed the crowds enough. "I Don't Care! I Love It!" could be heard all throughout the park as everyone was shouting the line.
"I can't believe you all know the lyrics! I also can't believe how far I've come since writing the song! This next song is called 'Devour My Heart' and it's from an album of the same name, which you can now buy!" Charli said and started singing 'Devour My Heart'. The background video was showing scenes from the 'Tokyo Lights' music video, where Charli was sitting down on a heart composed of light bulbs. The performance was very emotional for Charli, and she started tearing up a little bit. "If you know the lyrics, sing it with me!" she said half-way through the chorus, and the crowd started singing along.
After a quick outfit change, Charli got on stage wearing a blue neon jacket with a white leotard under it. She also was wearing her regular buffalo boots. Right when she got out, Charli started singing her Sky Ferreira duet 'Hooked On It', one of the fan favorites on the critically acclaimed album 'Devour My Heart'. The background screen also showed Sky Ferreira singing her parts, a video which is also shown on Charli XCX's Tokyo Lights' tour. Thext song up was 'You're The One' taken form Charli's debut album.
Charli than sang more songs from her debut album including 'Grins', 'So Far Away', 'Cloud Aura' and more. She than changed her outfit again, this time wearing a beautiful golden The Blonds dress with black Christian Louboutin platform heels. She started singing 'Out of My Control' and 'Wasted (Taste It)' songs that she usually performs one after the other. The next song up was another fan favorite 'Divide' which was followed up by the 2013 Promo single 'SuperLove', both taken from her new album. The final song of the act was 'Alone in the Dark'.
Charli changed her outfit one last time, now she was wearing a beautiful white gown and performed an acoustic version of 'Tokyo Lights' before singing the Sony Remix version of it. "This is the last song... It's my new single, buy it on Itunes!" Charli said calmly before singing. The whole 'Tokyo Lights' music video was also shown for this performance.
