They delayed it because of the tragedy apparently. There's an official statement on the BB Facebook page. I can't access it because I'm at work, and FB is blocked

This morning's news coverage is appropriately focused on the terrible tragedy in Orlando. We've delayed the announcement of the new Big Brother cast to Tuesday. Cast interviews will be available to CBS All Access subscribers Tuesday at 4pm ET/1pm PT. We appreciate your understanding.

I was sympathetic this morning when I thought someone either on the cast or production team was affected by the tragedy but this doesn't read like it. It almost reads like they're using this tragedy as an excuse to delay the process for whatever reason & its ****ing disgusting. You mean to tell me the only program on CBS that wants to show respect to the victims of the Orlando shooting is an online cast reveal. Yet every other dumb game show they air on CBS carried on without a care in the world.

It also doesn't explain why they change the time from 11AM to 4PM & "Live" interview to now "Pre-Taped".

Mmm I wouldn't be so quick to say that they're using it to delay it. I mean, announcing the cast is a press event and obviously all the press today is revolving around the massacre as they should. CBS is one of the three main networks and it was the largest shooting ever so naturally they're prioritizing that over the cast reveal. Since the show doesn't even premiere until next week, they can prolong it to any time this week. Plus all those game shows you referenced are filmed weeks before they air.

I don't even care for the cast interviews tbh.. In my team or whatever the name of the little game thing we do in here i just picked my housemates basely off of how they looked lol. I hope this thread doesn't get completely ruined by someone trying to bring up race issues like in last years thread (yes, this was Doc shade because i still think that Da'vonne stuff he pulled last year was ridiculous & i loved Da'vonne)

If CBS really delayed this b/c of Orlando they would have said so initially when they 1st tweeted last night at 12:30. They saw all of the fans anger/complaints overnight so they just tacked on this excuse this morning, no one can really argue with it, but its obviously just to shut us up.

Not anymore. As far as I’m aware Jeff is the only person interviewing them & if their intention were to focus more coverage on the massacre they could have easily removed the morning game show programs.

it sounds like their doing this so that cast reveal gets spotlight and in the news cycle, today is full of the Orlando news (as it should be) and they want to be in the spotlight
