I think they just held it back on other itunes stores, released it in the US first and then everywhere else later.

Isn't that how every big release is? I mean Australia releases on friday and not on tuesday, let alone wednesdays

I don't understand why they didn't release it today. Isn't today the beginning of the weird 11-day tracking period? If it leaks, they could just release it early anyways since it'll just put more sales into this week, right?

Let me explain this ONE more time:

Today is the start of the 11 day tracking period for SALES and STREAMING, not Radio. Radio has a 12 day tracker this week from Wednesday to the following Sunday. If it was released today, it would debut on the H100 this week coming at somewhere in the 90s or bubbling under because radios will play it.

A full 12 days on radio with a wednesday release will mean that the song can get over the rolling effect in time so that it doesn't hurt it negatively. Losing 2 days of sales to pick up an extra day of radio and not have a negative rolling effect is the best option. Radio is and always has been worth more to the H100 formula than sales and streams.

Clearly Interscope want this to have Demi's highest ever debut and peak, so everything is going to happen first-week.
