Didn't Ryan say that if they did a spin-off, it would've spun off from around episode 8-9?
But they couldn't do a spin-off cuz that meant they had to keep characters alive that they wanted to kill off (Nan, Luke, Joan & Fiona, maybe Madison & Misty).

In an ideal world, they would make an alternative timeline that starts right after Hank goes off on the hair salon and Delphine gets emotional at Roots and take the proper time to finish it. No rushed mess that makes half of the subplots contribute nothing to the story (See Patti LuPone) and doesn't give all of the characters a proper profile and ending.
They could take time to actually do something with Zoe's necromancy. Have a full-out voodoo and witch war instead of ending it lazily by teaming up. Misty Day was done WRONG. It's still the second-best season, but it had so much potential to be even better than it was. It may not have fit in with the show, but I kind of wanted to see a magic fight, tbh. The closest we got was the coven defending the academy from the zombies.
The only characters who had satisfying arcs were Fiona, Cordelia and Myrtle. The rest

I agree with all of this.
As for arcs, I was happy with Fiona, Cordelia & even Madison; only problem with Madison's death was how it actually happened, because her being strangled by Kyle was ridiculous, but it seemed right for her to end that way (though, an actress wouldn't go missing without any question). I don't see why Myrtle had to die at all, and her entire plot was a lil messy.
Everyone else was hot mess.
For example, you could've removed Nan, Luke & Joan, and literally nothing would've changed by the finale.
And YAS @ how wrong Misty was done. She was only killed so that they could have a higher body count, and they got rid of her so easily as if she was a throwaway character. She also did SO much for the coven, and everyone paid her DUST despite bringing half of them back to life, though that's more of something in the plot I dislike rather than an actual issue. Also reminds me a lil of Maggie saving all the freaks and them not giving two ***** about ha death.

The useless character problem got worse with Freak Show, probably exacerbated by there not being a solid plot.
There were so many characters who remained static and flat the entire season (i.e. most of the freaks). Chester was literally the worst thing that's ever happened in American Horror Story. Jimmy and Maggie were godawful characters. Regina was pointless. Stanley was a bit redundant with Dandy already there. Desiree and Dell had fantastic portrayals, but ultimately did nothing. Gloria, Dora and Twisty were good characters, but the nature of their roles (to develop Dandy) didn't allow them to live very long. Ethel was great, and died for no reason .
That leaves Elsa, Bette, Dot and Dandy as the only both good and significant characters.

Dandy was only interesting in episodes 1-9. Absent in 10. Then he didn't do anything in 11 & 12, and in 13 he just acted annoying and stupid like a parody of himself in the first half of the season.

Coven woulda been the best season if it wasn't for the last 2 episodes (YES, Phenex, am FINALLY bashing Go to Hell). Asylum is the best kinda by default cuz it's the only one that's fully-rounded in the least-messiest way.

The last 4 eps of Coven were amazing though. Idk why people always bash them. 10, 12 and 13 were some of the best of the season.

Bitchcraft, the Sacred Taking and the Magical Delights of Stevie Nicks (1, 8 & 10) are tha best of Coven. The Seven Wonders is the worst because it is lazy, stupid and full of plot holes and either incomplete or horrible resolves.

The first two I can agree with. Go to Hell is actually a MESS since I rewatched it. Why did I stan for it so hard? Them literally killing off ALL the older people in the season that episode except Myrtle.

BWB was a kii. But I was PRESSED over the injustice done to Myrtle.
Go to Hell was an all around mess.

EYE am consistent.
My fave episode will always be Magical Delights of Stevie Nicks, if only for the opening with Marie and that Baby.
