Yes, directly into the thread. Just make sure you stick to the guidelines in the OP and you should be fine. It's all really easy, you post your review along with a score/grade/star-rating and the mods do the rest!

Anything Goes
Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett
Lady Gaga & Tony Bennett released the lead single of their upcoming Jazz collaboration “Cheek to Cheek” (out September 23rd. Don’t forget to buy it on iKoons and pick up the CD from your local store to give it to your grandma during the holidays).
The Cole Porter cover, done in Gaga’s and Tony’s own style, gives a match made in heaven a chance to show their capacities. Tony, an undeniable Jazz legend, is still slaying despite being close to a century old. Gaga’s 3rd jazz release after The Lady Is A Tramp and Orange Colored Sky is yet another success for her. Her vocals were heavenly, strong and melodic. Not one flaw spotted.
The lyrics, production and melody are just the classical Jazz sound. The song is only 2 minutes long. Some might find this as a bad thing, but it just helps its replay value
Highlight/Favorite part:
The world has gone mad today
and good’s bad today
and day’s night today
and black’s white today
when most guys today
the woman prize today
are just silly gigolos
10/10
Buy it on iKoons

Anything Goes
by Tony Bennett & Lady Gaga
Even if you hate Lady Gaga, you must admit that she has an amazing voice. But many people don't get to hear how gifted Gaga is vocally because they only get to see the crazy outfits, vomit performances, and Twitter shade. But with Cheek To Cheek, Lady Gaga promises to leave behind the gimmicks, and let her voice take center stage, and with Anything Goes, she delivers that promise. Gaga and Bennett shine is this song. It's such a departure from what Gaga usually releases, that it sounds fresh for her, which I think people will appreciate. Tony sounds better than ever, and after two delays, I'm glad that we finally have a release date and a single. Anything Goes isn't mind blowing, but is a welcome begining to the Cheek To Cheek era.

This is just such a complete and utter mess. From the artwork, to Azealia's monotone robot voice, I found myself edging closer and closer to opening up my 4th floor window and just flinging myself out. Azealia just recently left Interscope records on her own accord, but I think Interscope is the real winner here. She may think that they don't deserve her because she may think she has talent, but they don't deserve to be burdened with her.
In sum: the track is disposable. Crappy lyrics, crappy production value, no worth at all. If you want to make a mixtape for the death of music, you could definitely put this on it.

Anything Goes- Tony Bennet and Lady Gaga
I really like the idea of LG doing jazz music. She has a great singing voice with lots of personality and unique diction that usually works really well for this style of music. However, I was a little bit dissapointed in the (promo?) single the duo just released, a cover of broadway classic Anything Goes, as a lead off to their upcoming duet album. I'm not gonna say its bad, persay. The song has always had very cute lyrics and despite some issues that I'll get to in a minute, the vocals are mostly solid. Perhaps the song's biggest strength is the pure joy that comes through in the performance. You can tell that these artists are really enjoying what theyre doing. But that, while endearing, doesnt erase the fact that Tony is getting older and a slightly hoarse sounding old man singing will never not sound like a slightly hoarse old man singing. No matter how talented. As for Gaga, she's doing a bit too much while singing this song. Her natural voice has enough texture that she doesnt need to add in those little affectations. It makes the whole thing seem a bit forced. I dont know wether the straining on a lot of the higher notes in the song is a result of this, or if she just couldve benefitted from a key transpose. But either way, that too is an issue. Overall, the song does make me interested in hearing what Tony and Gaga come up with on Cheek to Cheek. But thats because this song shows me a lot of potential, while not really living up to it. It's kind of sad that this couldve been an easy 7.5 or 8 with some relatively minor tweaks and adjustments.

Tony Bennett and Lady Gaga - Anything Goes
If Hilary Duff and I have a long history, Lady Gaga and I...well, we don't have as long of a history, but it's equally interesting. For a couple of years, I was completely on the fence. Most of her singles didn't do much for me at the time, not even her beloved "Bad Romance". It took the release of Born This Way for me to finally "get" Lady Gaga, and I've been a fan of her's ever since. ARTPOP wasn't the greatest album ever, but it had its moments of brilliance. Nothing has gotten me more excited in recent years as far as Gaga is concerned, though, than her upcoming collaboration album with the legendary Tony Bennett. Even when I couldn't connect to Gaga's music, I knew that she was a talented artist. That was actually what I would say about her before Born This Way: "I don't really care for her music, but it's obvious that she's talented." And the thing about Gaga is that you can't say that she's not trying new things with every new venture. Cheek 2 Cheek promises to be Gaga's most intriguing release yet, and if "Anything Goes" is any indication, we're in for a treat.
"Anything Goes" is a classic piece originally written for the musical of the same name by master songwriter Cole Porter. It's a very lively song originally intended as a look at the scandals of the period, and it's hard to find a version that isn't a fun romp. Well, other than Kate Capshaw's performance in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom. It's also a song that Tony Bennett himself has recorded in the past with another legend of the industry, Count Basie. It's obvious that Bennett relishes in performing this song. Even at an age where most performers would have retired or even have been dead by now, Bennett remains a force. My biggest fear with this album was that Tony Bennett wouldn't be able to hold up his end of the bargain, teaming up with a vocal powerhouse in Gaga, but that doesn't seem to be an issue here. If anything, at 87, Tony Bennett holds his own with one of the best voices in music. Another relief was to hear Gaga and Bennett sharing the spotlight. This was less of a fear, because I know how much Gaga reveres Tony, but it's still nice to see Gaga give a living legend the respect he deserves as they go toe-for-toe on the vocals.
One thing I know I'll see from people, especially here on ATRL, will be proclaiming that this will be another "flop" like ARTPOP. See, the problem with that line of thinking is that this isn't meant to be a big pop release in the vein of, say, "Applause". This is simply its own entity. This isn't meant to be a mainstream release, though it does feature a big mainstream star and a music legend. It's a chance for Gaga to spread her wings into an area of the music spectrum that she has long loved, a chance to make something outside of the norm...which is exactly where Gaga thrives. I'm sure that her many haters will just call her a flop and move on, but proclaiming this and the upcoming album to be a "flop" is doing a disservice to what Gaga is actually trying to do here. To see a major artist like Gaga take on a project like this is a respect-builder. It's about Gaga expanding her horizons, proving to the critics that she's not a one-trick pony after some of the disatrous press she received after ARTPOP. And it's about Gaga giving someone who has spent their entire career in spotlights one last run at glory. That is what this represents. "Anything Goes" is basically confirmation that there's nothing to worry about.
TL;DR:
Any fears that I had about the Lady Gaga/Tony Bennett collaboration have gone away after listening to "Anything Goes". It shows off a top artist and a living legend at the top of their games, and, if this song is anything to go by, Cheek 2 Cheek is going to be one very enjoyable ride.
8/10
(Still not really feeling the "look" of the reviews. Maybe I should ask for help to get the desired layout, but I don't know who I'd turn to for that.)

Las críticas de ARGIE

.8*
| Chasing the Sun
Hilary Duff

Anything Goes - Tony Bennett and Lady Gaga
The jazz collaboration between Bennett and Gaga is one that probably should have happened sooner. Gaga has showed off her powerful and talented voice previously on stripped back, acoustic performances of her songs while promoting her work on television and on tour. After their duet on the song "The Lady Is A Tramp", and the promotional performances that followed its release, many who were not aware of Gaga's very capable voice were treated with a surprise. Recently claiming that jazz comes easier to her than pop, the artist seems born and ready to tackle jazz music. Tony's voice on the track also shows that his age has not had damaging affects on his voice, as the crooner sounds as smooth as always. On "Anything Goes", the unlikely yet pretty much perfect duo offer a fun and "cheeky" tune that serves as a nice preview to their album Cheek to Cheek. Their voices compliment each other and they have great chemistry on the track. While I would have preferred a longer track that could have showed off more of Gaga's voice, I am left more than satisfied with this duet. I look forward to watching Gaga shine on both the studio versions and live renditions of the tracks from this album.

I'm not a fan of Jazz music. Nothing against it, I've just never been interested in it. I wish the song was just a little longer, and that's the only problem I really have with it. Gaga's vocals are iffy. Some parts she sounded perfect and some parts she sounded off key and not very cute. But in the end, it's a nice little track.

Anything Goes
Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett come together once again, following up from their previous collaboration "The Lady Is A Tramp," to test the waters of their upcoming jazz album with a cover of "Anything Goes." "Anything Goes" is a classic - many know it from when they were sweet, young and gay lads roaming the threads of musical theater and finding the titular Broadway show of yesteryear. Others know it from the colossal and award-winning video game Fallout 3. Gaga and Tony have a lot to live up to.
The Dope hitmaker and the Jazz Standard legend prove to live up to their own hype - indeed, The Lady is not just a tramp and can definitely do this in her sleep. It's a different use of Gaga's voice than what the public is known for and her tone is quite striking. The only issues that the Do What U Want songstress has is that she can come off a bit screechy sometimes and finds herself dangerously close to losing key at some points. Tony is as great as he ever was and seems delighted to be in the spotlight once more. The instrumental, however, is a bit more than expected though that is not necessarily a complaint.
With "Anything Goes," the world is thrown back into merciless nostalgia. A crooning world waits for the jazzy heights that the duo's upcoming album, "Cheek to Cheek," will bring. If "Anything Goes" is anything to go by, we are completely safe in the arms of Mother Monster and Grandfather Monster.

Anything Goes
9.5/10
It's been three long years since "The Lady Is A Tramp" showed us what magic Gaga & Tony could create together and still they haven't lost their spark. With superb vocals and perfectly complementary broadway style production, "Anything Goes" is a fantastic taste of what's to come on their upcoming album. Both manage to give their own twist on what has become one of the most common popular standards, and amongst Gaga's peers this certainly helps her stick out by showing her true vocal capabilities. The chemistry on the track is unexpected but refreshing, appealing to both young & old. A true quality record, although 0.5 deducted for how short it is, omitting the usual intro the song was written with.

Jessie J, Ariana Grande & Nicki Minaj - "Bang Bang"
It has been a bit since we’ve heard Miss Jessie J, here in the States that is at least. She hasn’t found that success since her hit Domino. What does she do next? Ask pop heavy weights Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj to be featured on her debut single for upcoming third album. This was a smart idea to be honest because the single is a catchy guilty pleasure that’ll have you dancing along in no time. Though that could very well be thanks to the production of Max Martin.
The vocals on this song is very prominent with Jessie taking the first verse, Ariana with the second, Nicki with the third, and Jessie and Ariana trying to enter the church choir singing that is the chorus. Where the production provides the groove, the problems with single lie with the vocals. Jessie and Ariana can sing without a doubt, but at times it feels like they were trying to out shout/sing each other. The standout on the song is without a doubt Nicki Minaj. Her rap just flows flawlessly with the beat and shows that it doesn’t need all the octaves to stand out.
Overall, despite the vocals, the song is a guilty pleasure in which I have found myself playing on repeat for some days. _Grade: B+
Hilary Duff - "Chasing the Sun"
To say I was excited about some new Hilary music would be an understatement. I have enjoyed Hilary’s music since the Disney days, partly because she was my first celebrity crush and loved her to death. I own all her albums, except the Christmas the album, and still listen to her songs.
Now to present day now that her new single is out, I’m GREATLY disappointed. This song is very monochromatic and doesn’t really go anywhere until the bridge and the ending chorus where she finally does different stuff with her vocals. Mind you, I realize, Hilary is not the strongest singer, but she has a good tone. Her voice in this song just blends together with the melody, and all in all just not sounds like a Hilary Duff song. It is more like a Colbie Caillat song, who is a writer of the track. After the progression she made with her last album Dignity, this is a major step back.
Overall it is a carefree, summery, breezy song with a light feel meant to be perfect for the summer. However, it comes across as mellow summer lullaby presumably for her son. Sorry Hil. _Grade: D
Tony Bennett & Lady Gaga - "Anything Goes"
Now I’m not much of a jazz listener, but there is something about the arrangement and the vocals that makes you just feel good. It almost gives you that warm and fuzzy feeling one might feel during the Christmas/holiday times. Maybe this is the reason why Tony and Stefani named the album Cheek to Cheek.
For me the best part of the song is actually Gaga’s vocals. She really does have such a special and nice voice that is perfect for jazz. You barely hear it anymore because she often sings very theatrical in her songs; often like she is playing a part. These vocals on “Anything Goes” just feels and seems more natural on her and truly reminds me of her The Fame days.
Overall, this is a nice laidback jazz track both sung great by Tony and Gaga. It’s no “Lady is a Tramp” and it’s not something I’d probably listen to on a daily basis, but it’s a nice song to really calm your mind.
