I pretty much lost interest in hurricanes after 2008, but I still remember quite a bit. 2009, 2010 and 2011 were pretty much all flops and that killed my interest, even though 2012 was quite active.

October is part of hurricane season. Of course there will be hurricanes in October. Hell, before Hermine, Wilma was the last storm to affect Florida as a hurricane and that was an October storm. Joaquin also happened last year and Sandy of course too just a few years back.
