because they went back in the past and changed everything. one little change can change it all and since they changed something that happened before jean dying it makes sense.

The event in 1973 changed the history dramatically. X2 and X3 never happened. Even if The Dark Phenix storyline happened in 1973 - 2013, they managed to defeat The Phenix without killing Jean.

It was Rachel Summers travel back in the comic but it would be unfamiliar/messy to the general audience so they decide to do mind travelling through time instead, and Logan was the obvious choice.
Her hair in the movies has nothing to do with the story though. Her hair is naturally red, it was just done differently in each of the movies. Bad dye job in X3, overly red wig in DOFP.
I know they won't do travel back through time to fix some events but it was Cable travel back to stop Apocalypse, unintentionally wake Apocalypse up several years before his plan? How will they do it this time? Please don't tell me the Pharaoh/mummy thing It's so freaking cliche and boring

Erm, I just finished watching X3, and I'm convinced had Professor X not died and the 2nd half of the movie been completely different, that would've been my favorite movie from the series. The amount of chills I get from the first half was and still is just amazing.
yet has 10 more rotten reviews (i love the movie btw but facts is facts)
That doesn't stop it having more positive reviews and so they can say it's the best reviewed film of the year since it's nice and ambiguous. X-Men has a bunch more reviews coming in so it'll have way more than Lego in a couple of weeks, most of those will be positive so it'll be above by a good margin.
