"More Than This" is the most heartfelt ballad from the lads' debut album Up All Night. The song depicts a boy who is 'blinded by love' and so much so that he 'can't love' her 'more than this'. Listening to the lyrics of the song truly show how dedicated and loving they feel as they portray the meaning of the song. They just sing from the heart and use their sweet voices to carry out the deep meaning, even getting many fans in the stadium to gracefully sing along to the most beautiful ballad on the album.
"Taken" is the worst song off of the album Up All Night. The song overall is essentially a lyrical mess with them basically repeating the same lines in as many different ways as they could come up with. There is no lyrical depth or meaning, nor is it catchy and uplifting, thus just leaving it there as a filler. Not only do I think this is the worst track, but on the One Direction Discography rate of all three albums (54 tracks), this was ranked #54 as the worst track on all three albums by about 60 Directioners. Also, the song is pretty boring and I have definitely skipped this track on some occasions as I've either gotten a headache listenting to it, or nearly fell asleep.
Brown Eyes is the only ballad in The Fame, hands down, the most meaningful ballad in The Fame, and probably one of the most personal songs in the album. This is totally a cute song that a whole stadium could sing along with. It's very easy to sing along to, lyrics are very relatable, and it gets stuck in your head after a couple of listens. I could totally imagine a whole stadium singing/humming along to this with their hands on their head, kinda like this.
Listening to this album from the start to the end, I was slayed by the first four tracks (JD, LG, Paparazzi, and LoveGame, in that order), they're all pop masterpieces. And then...this mess played. Why is this song even in the album? It's so embarrassing and bubblegum-y. It just kinda ruins the whole album's atmosphere, plus it just sounds awkward playing right after Poker Face. And what was she thinking when she was writing these lyrics too

I chose "The Writer" for this round because it is one of Ellie's most personal and emotional songs. As one of the few ballads on Lights, it is definitely a standout track, and you can truly feel a catharsis from her voice as she croons: "Why don't you be the writer and make me out of clay? Why don't you be the artist and decide the words I say?"
This song discusses how people are so willing to allow themselves to change in order to fit the personal opinions and preferences of others -- in order to get a love interest to notice you, for example. This is an issue that many people can relate to, and as such, this song can hit the listener in a very personal way. It has a beautiful melody, and at a concert, many people would want to sing along to this song. This is a fabulous song -- one of Ellie's best -- oozing with emotion, beauty, and intrigue.
I had an extremely difficult time choosing the worst song from Lights, because Ellie's debut is very strong. All of the songs are interesting and enjoyable in their own unique ways, and there is no truly weak or "Scheiße"-like track. Ultimately, I decided on "Every Time You Go," which is one of my least played songs from this album. Compared to many of the other songs on Lights, "Every Time You Go" is a non-event. It is not very memorable, and it definitely doesn't have that special repeat factor, where you want to listen to it again and again. The production is not as strong as in other songs, and some of the melody is boring. Overall, this song is one of the weakest on Lights, but I do still enjoy listening to it on occasion.
Whatcha Say is a catchy steady song.It was also his first single!
It also samples from Hide and Seek ( a song from another group) so people will be familiar with some of the lyrics.
Blind on the other hand seems like an off beat song. The beat itself is annoying.
And the chorus is bleh also
The Edge of Glory
This song is a great pop ballad, and it's actually special to Kylie for being one of her first hits early into what was about to become a great career. It takes you back to the 80s and talks about the love of a young girl.

The Edge Of Glory Round
You've Got The Love
For this round I chose the clasic and incredible ''You've Got The Love'', originally sung by the legendary Candi Staton.
An Electro Dance Pop - Ballad is how Florence described it with her unique remake in 2009.
The deep lyrics, amazing vocals and an aceptable production.
Easily one of the best song on her debut album, Lungs.
Everything, EVERYTHING about this song is just WRONG.
It has the cheapest production you could ever imagined in a song, the lyrics goes to the point from funny to extremely lame in just thirty seconds, and the video leaves you with the feeling if the were on drugs when the team made this song.
An All Time Low REJECT
Ballad: Teardrops on my Guitar: The first Top 15 hit single of The Lord is definitely TOMG, everyone knows it and if I was available to use another album I would choose another song, this is clearly not my first choice but since I can't, here you go. The worst: Mary's Song (Oh My My My): I just hate that is so repetitive, her first attempt to cross over to pop? It sucks so bad because it clearly didn't happen. I don't even have it!
Even though P!nk's debut album isn't necessarily great, this song is most definitely the best ballad on the album. The song has some '90s R&B tinges with the beats and the drums. Also, the lyrics would make an audience sway and sing along, especially the chorus
First of all, "Hiccup" is SUCH a terrible name for a song, just terrible. Also, the beginning is a mess, and that chorus..., just listen and agree with its terribleness
I chose SWBL for the ballad part because the lyrics is meaningful and sad but everyone still sings along to this song when it's played. And I chose Secret for their worst song because of the long ass intro, I know most of you will probably skip this song because of that.
