Carrie's current single which is impacting country radio hard settles at number five. The song is Carrie's most pop sounding song to date that has huge potential to crossover without needing a remix. Lyrically, the song can mean just about anything - some have took it as meeting a loved one in heaven and other have took it as meeting someone again who's been distant. This song was originally written for Chronicles of Narnia: Voyage of the Dawn but wasn't used. Carrie stated that the song was too good to not be used for future use and featured it on her current studio album. It has just begun climbing and we are yet to see how successful it'll be, one thing is for sure though - it is a fan favourite and loved by just about everyone.
Some Heart's last song in the rate says goodbye as it gets **** blocked from the top three. The third single from Some Hearts, Wasted went to spend three weeks at number one on the country charts. It's a beautiful song, nice live and a really strong part of her discography. I am quite surprised how far it made in the rate and glad that it's the last standing Some Hearts track.
Blown Away was the second smash single off Carrie's fourth studio album of the same name. It rocketed to number one and became Carrie's first multi-week number one country song since Just a Dream. Not only does it have half a dozen performances of pure slayage but it earned Carrie her sixth Grammy for Country Solo Performance won Country Song of the Year as well. Lingering in the iTunes Top 100 a year after it's release it has yet to show any signs of slowing down already selling 2,000,000 units. Will it end up as successful as Before He Cheats? Only time will tell.
