Besides, it's better than half of the songs in this round and at least is a duet. Like Song 5 shouldn't even count because its feature is just a sampling from a song, which doesn't count

i like the TLC Scrubs cover song. and i dint know Song 05 was a cover too. ofcourse i dont think the senders should be penalized now since sumthin approved.

but for future rounds, say, if i send The Fray's cover of Kanye's Heartless (which is excellent btw), or Coldplay's Fix You covered by Secondhand Serenade.. off the top of my head. would they seriously be allowed? and not be judged wrong by contestants cuz they're covers of obviously awesome popular songs? and what about Youtubers' covers? like that mashup of Blank Space and style that went viral?! or just one of the dozens of acoustic covers of Thinking Out Loud?

Keep in mind, covers have been used in previous seasons.

In Season 7, I sent in a cover of Heartless that was sung by Samantha Jade. JONE sent a Hero cover that was sung by Dami Im in Season 8.

If they were allowed before, they'd be allowed now.

I think that was in Jone's game, but it hasn't happened in the Seasons I've participated in.

So just to clarify some things...

I've ALWAYS allowed covers to allowed. This isnt anything new

Song 7 was never released as a single....
Song 16 was never a single...however, I try to do as much as I can about looking into songs and didnt realize that Song 16 was a remake of Estelle's own single. And had I has known that, I would have most likely NOT allowed it.

Going forward again, if you guys DONT wanna use covers then you guys need to vote on it. I dont see the problem but if you guys are gonna make such a big deal then lets vote on in.
