20 ˇ EMBLEM3, "Chloe (You're The One I Want)" Debut Date: June 1, 2013 Weeks on Chart: 10 Weeks Peak Position: #04
Kicking off the Top 20 is the cheesy lead single of X Factor US alumnus Emblem3. I wasn't able to follow the entire X Factor US season but I was able to follow all performances of this group. Why? Because I'm much into boybands and I am definitely impressed with their "What Makes You Beautiful" performance. I guess majority of the people here do not appreciate this song, but I do not care at all. This one's an amazing bop plus its cheesiness makes it more irresistible. And their giving me LFO feels. Such a throwback to the 90s.

19 ˇ TAYLOR SWIFT, "22" Debut Date: March 16, 2013 Weeks on Chart: 8 Weeks Peak Position: #01[2]
Compared to its title, this track fared much better on my yearend list. Taylor Swift gives out a carefree fun-to-sing-with anthem through her age-inspired hit "22". I am totally pleased with how her Red era is going. She keeps on surprising us with her releases as she continues to experiment and incorporate different genres in her music. As opposed to her fairytale-centric efforts, this one transcends life as a young adult -- which somehow I can refer to. Plus, she made an effort to still incorporate her country roots.

18 ˇ AVRIL LAVIGNE, "Here's To Never Growing Up" Debut Date: May 11, 2013 Weeks on Chart: 6 Weeks Peak Position: #09
Back-to-back youthful anthems! This time courtesy of pop rock sweetheart Avril Lavigne. Like majority of the songs on the list, this is another track that I just loved when everyone's starting to get tired of it. In fact, I was only able to fully appreciate this song when my birthday was fast approaching. There are two big reasons why I love this track. (1) It transcends Avril's youthful image. She's going back to her roots and serving us the "Complicated" era feels. (2) I can relate. At 21, I still feel young and childish. And yes, I don't want to grow up yet.
FLASHBACK 2012: FUN. f/ JANELLE MONAE, "We Are Young" 2011: BEYONCÉ, "Best Thing I Never Had" 2010: TAIO CRUZ, "Dynamite" 2009: DAVID ARCHULETA, "A Little Too Not Over You"
♫"Like you've been running for hours and can't catch your breath. The demons are screaming so loud in your head."♫
17 ˇ UNION J, "Carry You" Debut Date: May 11, 2013 Weeks on Chart: 9 Weeks Peak Position: #05
Making a Top 20 debut is another X Factor boyband alumnus from the UK. During their X Factor stint, I was actually liking District3 more. However, Union J released their debut single and it smashed me big time. This one is astonishingly amazing! Though the falsettos in chorus reminds me so much of 1D's "Gotta Be You", I don't mind at all. Its youthful message and sweet friendship pact make the entire song worthy. This boyband's definitely going to be watched out this 2014!
FLASHBACK 2012: P!NK, "Blow Me (One Last Kiss)" 2011: JESSIE J, "Nobody's Perfect" 2010: KATY PERRY f/ SNOOP DOGG, "California Gurls" 2009: COBRA STARSHIP f/ LEIGHTON MEESTER, "Good Girls Go Bad"
