I refused to listen to the existing live versions of some album songs because I didn't wanna spoil myself, but I had such a bad feeling about this album that I needed to listen to prevent a major disappointment.
And yeah, I'm happy that I did. Now my expectations are pretty low and I can enjoy the time til it drops without counting the days. My excitement for this record is like zero now. I expected this to be the album of the year, but this is most likely not gonna happen. There are some songs which seem to be quite interesting (Need Your Love, Caught In The Middle), but the others don't sound very appealing to me.
With those expectations I feel very free and Charli sis can surprise me positively with the studio versions and those yet unknown songs. Or just not. Then the prize for the album of the year goes to someone else.
