Meh not feeling.
You guys described it like it was some kind of masterpiece. What a let down.
I mean, the song is good but can't see it as a good single choice. Heartbeat Song is so much better single worthy speaking.
The notes/adlibs at the end of this are very Thankful to me. Reminds me a lot of her circa-AI actually, which vocally is great. The chorus is a little safe, but overall I think this definitely captures the essence of classic Kelly more than HBS.
EDIT: And already after a third listen, I'm LOVING this. It's so solid and so her. I think radio would eat this up, and it is certainly primed for some synching in film!
