It's not about talent. Adele has some obviously but thousands of artists who have just as much talent don't sell as many records in their career as she does in a week.
It's about having artists who appeal to all demographics. The issue is first and foremost that labels have promoted artists who appeal to one or two demographics guaranteeing some album sales but nowhere near as much as what Adele manages.

False. Adele is the exception. She's the only one who can pull these numbers off. Is she the only talented artist? Of course not. Taylor is the only one else who comes close and I can count dozens of stars more talented than her who sells less. So this whole comment is bull.
