Why are we here trying to assert
Kaleidoscope Dream's "superiority" over
channelORANGE as fact when it is a matter of opinion? I think I said this a month ago, but I feel like when someone gets a little overrated, there is this RUSH of people who aim to counteract the one's overrating by shortchanging him or her.
I personally prefer
channelORANGE. I firmly believe that it is the better written album. I appreciate the complexity of the lyrics and the story-telling. I found the -luxurious, yet emotionally unhealthy lifestyle-theme he had going in some of the songs to be very interesting and I was definitely sold on his delving into personal matters. I favor the instrumental production on
channelORANGE over that on
Kaleidoscope Dream. I admit that Miguel is a far better vocalist, but I still like Frank's voice better.
Kaleidoscope Dream of course has better vocal performances, but aside from the two socially conscious songs, it's a whole lot of sex.

I'm kinda bored by the album sometimes.

Just an opinion.
