Is this 193K albums sold first week WW true?
Now I'm really starting to worry about her
Why wouldn't it be true? lol
She didn't have the usual 100k (UK), 40k (France), 30k (Germany) from November's high climate of sales + it's only digital sales, and digital sales are weak in Europe, it's mainly physical + the album was released in the messiest way (most fans already downloaded the album for free, why would they buy another digital copy? )
And not counting the fact that she paid dust to Europe for years promo wise (a simple interview can do wonders).
What she needs is to launch a ballad asap, then she'll be fine
Grammys and Brits should do the trick
Work is doing fine on it's own and is clearly not an album seller, especially in Europe.
If she waits for Work to die, the album will sink even further and it will be too late, she'll be in the heart of the tour.
Does she even care about sales? then again, she took a pic of herself holding a plaque lmao.
I feel like, if you work really hard on something, you're going to want it to succeed on all fronts. It's not necessarily about even making money from it, but more about knowing it's connecting with many people.
There's also the fact that the distribution of the this album has been a MESS! Multiple stores didn't have in-stock, employee not even knowing the album existed, the copies gathering dust in the backstore.
I've heard of plenty of people in the UK struggling to find the album, and/or being told that the album would only arrive on Tuesday.
