You are not good at math I see... Let me try to explain this better. You only subtract when you want to see how a song is selling comparatively to the current #1 song. If you want to see the percentages between two random songs (not including the #1 song on iTunes/kworb) you must divide the smaller # by the larger #. This will give you the percentage of the smaller # compared to the larger # being at 1.000. Then and only then would you subtract the new larger # (1.0000) by the smaller # (?) and get your answer. I'll do Problem and Fancy.
Problem: = 0.2804
Fancy: 0.2388 + 0.0997 = 0.3335
small#/large# = percent that the small#(?) is selling compared to large#(1.0000)
0.2804(small#)/0.3335(large#) = 0.8411(Problem actuall % compared to Fancy)
So then you take 1.000(which is Fancy) and subtract 0.8411(which is Problem) from it
1.0000 - 0.8411 = .1589
That means the sales percent gap between those two songs is 15.89%.
If you just do it your way you are still leaving Magic's song Rude in the calculation. Your percentages are the sales gaps of the songs with respect to Rude being #1.
