Then it holds the Life Orb item which increases its attack's power by 30%.
Its ability is Adaptability which increases the STAB bonus to 200% instead of 150%.
That's the normal bonuses.
Then Nasty Plot increases its Special ATK by 2 steps in each use. I can use it up to 3-4 times.
Then Substitute helps me to not get an Status Ailment and to resist some attacks while my Nasty Plot is powering the **** out of my Porygon.
Then I use the almighty Hyper Beam that has a base power of 150, and with all the bonuses it increases to much more than 500 base power.
That destroys almost ANYTHING, and that "recharge" turn?, well, Substitute helps me to not get hurt during that turn.
But why do I say "almost"?, well, because there's some Pokémon that cannot be hurt with Hyper Beam, those are the Ghost-Type pokémon, in that moment Dark Pulse gets the momentum, as it its super effective against the only type Hyper Beam cannot kill.

hyper beam would be better in-game as i decided after i posted that, since you can switch out afterwards to avoid the recharge
but if you're going to set up using nasty plot + substitute, i would prefer a more defensive EV spread instead of modest nature and 252 sp attack + speed (assuming thats what you have) or just use tri attack instead because with a +2 boost it can OHKO pokemon as hyper beam can and take no recharge
but if this is working for you then that's good too and ignore me, i've been playing way too much of competitive battling so sorry
