There's nothing wrong with pop music. It just serves a different purpose for me than the work of groups like Arcade Fire, Foster the People, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, etc. Funeral is a pretty sad album. A lot of the themes are about death and it's not necessarily "fun" to listen to at times. I'd definitely recommend listening to it all the way through at least once, though. It'll give you a deeper sense of appreciation for the band and their process, I think.

I know but pop music just keeps being the same while these bands/acts try new sounds and new lyrics. How sad/dark is their album?
