“Trapped In Flashbacks” 89 on metacritic.

Today after the surprise release of Pixie’s new album “Trapper In Flashbacks” internet went wild, and so did critics. Everybody started going to itunes just that they could get their hands of Pixie’s new album. Everybody tired to do it fast, because you know itunes page was even down for a few minutes because of this extreme event. Over 2 million tried to sign into itunes, and that just caused a frenzy and server went down. Pixie was never a big star, but for some reason her surprise album release caused a frenzy, and that resulted in server problems. Some people even lost their money. But yeah, let’s get back to metacritic. As we said Pixie scored so far a whopping 89 score based on 27 reviews, and that’s just amazing, none of her albums did that well, but I guess this was just the perfect time for her to release, and the material was good. Pixie herself is very happy about this, and she says that she can’t believe how well the album is being received.
The critics gave Pixie a pretty great score, there a 20 perfect reviews, and 7 mixed, and so far no bad, so I guess that really worked well for Pixie. Critics praised Pixie’s voice, they said that it’s a mix of Amy and Duffy, which is great, we wouldn’t only want Duffy’s voice, because that coca-cola commercial with her on bike, was a total, nasally mess, and ruined her career. Not only that also Pixie’s song were praised, they loved how Pixie actually wrote almost all the songs on the album herself, and they also loved her energy, and her deep meanings. Not only that but also Iggy Azalea who was featured on the album was also received well, her song was the least liked, but still her flow got pretty great reviews.
Some of the reviews:
from Rolling Stone: 90/100
Pixie Lott is back with her new album, and more importantly new sound. Her last three albums, were all kind of different, first was more sophomore, second more pop, and third also sophomore, but this Times she is back with a beautiful soulful, electro-pop driven album „‘Trapped In Flashbacks“ the title is intriguing, and it actually does album justice. I love how futuristic, and interesting this album is. The album has it’s great moments, but there’s on song that a bit ruins it, it’s “Sex & Slavery” it just sounds like a total rip off of Marina’s “power & Control” but we let this slide, because it does sound pretty decent, if you haven’t heard the other song, but overall this album is one delicious cake which I could eat again and again, not a lot albums these days are that good. I’m happy for Pixie Lott, hopefully she will find success with this, because she deserves it.
From Guardian: 78/100
The comeback, and a surprise from Pixie Lott. After 2 flops in the row darling is back, but this time she comes back in secret, without any single or anything, out of nowhere she drops an album, and this time it’s actually good, and worth the time. Pixie is known as a poppy UK girl, but this time she gets away from that name, and gives us a decently good album, full of fresh good songs, ballads, and more slayage, and we just love, only one bad song “Barbie Doll” but overall everything is good, and on point, good luck in future Pixie Lott.
From Allmusic 96/100
A completely unexpected, and a sweet surprise of an album “trapped In Flashbacks” is for sure a little highlight this year ,with it’s fun charm, and deep at the same time parts, she really is a star that you will hear a lot about these days, she comes releases and album out of nowhere with such a good list of songs, and wicked production, and just puts herself on the map in less than 3 hours, her voice shines in all the tracks, and she gives us marina/Lana/Sky tease and we like that, not only is she good, she is also pretty a perfect example of a star.
From Examiner 72/100
A pretty fun ride of an album, for sure a highlight sort of, not the best album in 2014, but certainly good, it has his moments, and some of them are bitter sweet, while others are either over the top or dull, but it’s still a nonetheless an album with good production and good tracks, seems like this girl has a bright future in her future.
From Forbes 100/100
Just a perfect album, just what the world needs right now, it has everything good song, good producers with top notch production, label Neptune seem to have put a lot of money and time into this and let me tell you something it’s spectacular work, you should be proud both Pixie and label, just a perfect vibe, perfect tracks, and we can smell a totally good position on the charts for this, this will get along with people perfectly, and Pixie herself has a dashing personality so this will do good, and all the songs in my opinion sound pretty rad & cool. Ballads are definitely on point filled with such passion, sadness, and nostalgia, loved some retro vibes, and Marina/Lana vibes, just a perfect album for any time of day especially for when you have a bad day, this will show you what bad life is all about, and you will see that you’re life is ain’t that bad as you think.
From BBCMUSIC 92/100
Electro-pop at it’s finest, Pixie totally nailed the pitch of all songs, controlled her voice well, even in the hardest tracks with longest notes, just a genius album. Only problem is some fun songs like the one with Iggy, it just so unneeded in the album, without it it would be 100, because alone Pixie you just feel more like yourself and you felt a bit lost in this track, and you’re voice, didn’t play such a big role in it.
METACRITIC: 89/100

Free new song “Sinking Heart” for free for people who buy “Trapped In Flashbacks”

Today after the release of a surprise album “trapper In Flashbacks” all the fans went crazy while buying it, and ruined the server, the album was bought so many times, and so many people tried to sign up, that it was an absolute madness. But what people didn’t knew is that when you buy the album, you right after you buy get a letter in your e-mail, and in the letter you get a direct free download link of another Pixie’s song that didn’t make the cut of the album “Sinking Heart” many fans didn’t knew this, until one fan decided to check his email, he then found it, and tweeted. All people went crazy, and went to Gmail, yahoo and other mails to accept their letter, and get free song.
“Sinking heart” was officially meant to be on the album, but in the end it didn’t make the cut, so Pixie decided to give this for free for people who buy her album. The song is 3 minutes 52 seconds long, was written by Pixie Lott and Toby Gad, and was produced by Toby Gad also. Toby Gad is the man who produced and written Hillary’s new single “Chasing The Sun” The song is actually really good, and Pixie herself loves it, but she wanted to give this for free, because well she just fell like it. Sinking heart is a song about a lost love, and trying to fix your heart, before it sinks, because we all know how terrible break up’s can be, so yeah, this song is basically about a truly sad love, that was so beautiful until it fell apart, because boy cheated and etc. You all know the story.
People are very happy because they got this for free. Although it’s all over the YouTube now, and has more than 1 million views, fans think that it’s a great song, but they think that Pixie did a good job on not putting this on album, because it wouldn’t have fit in it, it sounds more like Pixie’s older records, so yeah, it’s better for free after buying the album, at least it still got some spotlight. Toby Gad himself said that he told Pixie to do this, because he also felt that it’s not for this album, but he still wanted it to see the light, so they both, and label thought that the best thing to do is to make it free, so there you have it, a great album, and a free song after buying it, so buy it now, and enjoy.

IHEART RADIO MUSIC FESTIVAL
(Concert & Interview)
Taylor Swift has become one of the biggest live acts during her short career that has only spawned eight years. With numerous number one albums and number one singles that have sold millions in their own right, Taylor Swift has played to over ten million people in her career, many of those audience numbers coming from her last tour, The Witching Hour World Tour which visited stadiums all across the world, and Taylor Swift's latest tour The Electric Princess Tour which is currently in South America, Taylor playing sold out stadiums in never tour before territory. Starting the tour before she'd released her seventh studio album, 'Electric Princess' which was just recently released this week and instantly shot up iTunes to the top position, Taylor was performing songs from her last studio album and extended play which both shared the same titled of 'Coven 13', the extended play being the continuation of the her sixth studio album. With 'Electric Princess', the album finally being released, Taylor then updated the setlist, adding and replacing songs to her setlist. Over seventy five percent of the original track list was scrapped as Taylor added on new ones from the the thirteen tracks that were offered on her album. In fact all of those thirteen tracks were performed on the tour, something Taylor's never did before. Taylor played the same exact setlist at the iHeartRadio Music Festival where she was announced a performer last week.
The event kicked off at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas tonight where Taylor shared the stage with her pop contemporaries such as Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus, Sky Ferreira, Neon Jungle, and girl group G.R.L. Taylor was the headlining act, the last act to hit the stage (just after Katy Perry). But before Taylor went on stage to perform eleven songs , a shortened down setlist of her tour setlist, she was interviewed about her brand new album and single. Her single being 'Cathedrals' and her brand new album 'Electric Princess'. "You're the headlining act at this year's iHeartRadio Music Festival. It just so happens that you released your seventh studio album, titled 'Electric Princess', this week too. How excited are you to play some new songs for all these radio listeners who have been eating up everything you've put out the past four albums?" Avril Lavigne asked Taylor, who was very ecstatic and shocked to see Avril at any event or anything that had to do with radio. "It's always exciting and epic when you release a brand new album and get to do promotion. You really get to go out there and have fun sharing these new songs with people who've never heard them before." It's always a great feeling." The next question was a little shady. "Looking at your lyrics we've all understood you've gone back to writing about nothing but love, it seems." Taylor would then politely interrupt to throw some light shade. "The songs on the album are vey "here's to growing up" if you know what I mean. My songs might be about love but they're very well written and mature. They're my fans. I love to touch them… emotionally with my music if you get what I mean…"
Taylor would then take the stage to perform her eleven song set list, all but two songs being from Taylor's new album. The setlist started off with Manhattan Girls. A long path was created by two screens that laid farthest back on the stage, leading to the center stage and the catwalk that led out into the massive crowd. A video montage lit up on the screen, showing a very eerie like concept. Girls dressed in all white stood in two lines facing each other. Their lips were all painted pink and all of their hairs were blond with pink highlights in them. Cameras panned to their lips and eyes which wet coated with a bit of a shine. They would then step to each other where they would plant a kiss on each others' lips. A shot of the entire line of 24 girls sharing a kiss in sort of line was shown. As a pulse pounding beat started, one by one the camera began to move forward, the girls pulling away each other in order. They continued until they got to last row. The stage then lit up and showed Taylor standing in a white Versace Printed Silk Pyjama Shirt that had a print with silver diamonds and such. With a pair of silver Brian Atwood Yuna Sandals, Taylor began singing 'Manhattan Girls'. The entire setlist was praised for it's order and the concert proved to be one of Taylor's best staging wise and vocally. You can get Taylor's brand new single 'Cathedrals' and her brand new album 'Electric Princess' in stores and on websites that offer digital download.

Night Nine
Britney Spears embarks on her “Naughty Girl” stadium tour to promote her new album “American Dream” as the tour is filled with tracks off the album. The tour follows Britney’s life from the “Dreaming Days” before fame to the “Hollywood Babe” of Britney in her prime, to her “Rebellious Heart” and troubles of the past year and to her current “Naughty Girl” style as she embarks on the current era of her career. The tour is filled with incredible visuals and effects, the interludes are beautiful and sexy. Britney stuns in her outfits as her body is on point, the choreography is incredible and the stage features are amazing. Britney uses several flying platforms and additional stage platforms that rise up high in the air so the whole audience can catch a glimpse of her. Several fire/water effects are used as huge light shows create a technically advanced feel for the tour. Britney pushes the limits and even ties her herself up in a glass box of water to open the “Rebellious Heart” set, she bangs against the glass frame as she tries to escape, scaring the life out of fans in the stadium as she purposely panics. The costumes are sexy and scandalous and leave little to the imagination, Britney certainly pulled out all the stops for this tour as it truly is her biggest production yet.

GLOBAL RADIO DEAL
On Sunday morning Danity Kane and Revolution Records co-signed a deal that would have the trio's second single, "Rage", dominate radios worldwide. "Rage" appears and is currently carrying the girls' first album-esque release, the EP 'DK3', in six years. Last week although not completely dominating, the girls still had a great week as "Rage" debuted at an unexpected #4, with 'DK3' debuting at a respective #2. The new single, produced by The Stereotypes and the three themselves, as well as the same team writing it, has been called the party-anthem of the song. The girls explained previously that they wanted to create this song about and for their fans, as their DediKated Crew is filled with "crazy bitches that just turn it up and love to have a good time". The 'DK3' mini-era so far has been filled with fun and summer bops, with "Lemonade" being declared Billboard's Song of the Summer with a very fun video accompanied by collaborator Tyga. Unfortunately the track underperformed, peaking at #8 on the CAL Singles Chart. However, already escalating up the charts early with "Rage", Danity Kane is seizing the opportunity to have a huge hit. In fact, "Rage" is their highest-charting hit to date, surpassing "Show Stopper" and "Lemonade" which both peaked at #8 and "Damaged" which peaked at #10. The group and the label have been calling many stations across the world to check-in with how audiences are responding to the track, and to talk quickly about it to the general publics in many different countries. The deal mainly focuses on the following countries: United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Brazil, France, Mexico, South Korea, Japan, China, Germany, Australia, New Zealand, Argentina, Greece and Lebanon. The deal also focuses on the genres/formats of Pop, Rhythmic, HAC, AC and Spanish stations. While speaking on the single, the three mentioned: "We're so grateful to be really coming through with this new single, but we're not gonna sit back and enjoy the success. We literally just came back so there's no stopping at this point. As always, we love the DediKated Crew and this one's for y'all." The global landmark deal has definitely paid off - gaining Danity Kane almost two hundred million new audience impressions worldwide over the last forty-eight hours. In the US alone, the girls have went from eight million audience impressions to twenty-five million audience impressions. In addition, the UK has garnered about ten million listeners and many, many other countries have just began to spin the song. Thanks to the performances on Music Station, X Factor and more last week - Japan has also been going hard for the track and playing it on every big radio station at the top of every hour. With a very eventful week in music this week, it's very hard to predict where "Rage" may end up. But one thing is for sure - you can now purchase the track on iTunes and as well as purchase 'DK3' today. In addition, if you haven't already, you can download the 2013 / Quartet album 'Danger' and donate 1 USD to the Breast Cancer Awareness Foundation automatically.

I think it's one artist per label. So you couldn't have a combo performance with Ari and Xtina either.

Hm. It's not a combo performance though.
I'm just gonna have to incorporate one performance as their music video instead.
