You know this might sound weird but I don't know why all of the major news sources & their mamas are reporting on Mariah lip-syncing. I don't know. Lipsyncing always used to seem like an industry secret that was never mentioned by the media (sans the Ashley and the Bey thing).

The press always ignores lipsynching but when they latch onto a story they milk the sh*t out of it.

Mariah has legendary attributes, but she doesn't present herself as one. And no, she doesn't have to be this classy whimsical and boring woman wearing old woman clothes.

I used to wonder why people don't really consider her a legend, but the answer is clear. People will only put you at the pedestal that you put yourself on.

The nodules thing is a valid excuse, but it's irrelevant to the EXCESSIVE amount of lipsyncing she does.

If she can sing well in at a live show, what's the difference in a 3 minute TV performance If anything, she has to muster up less energy for the awards show performance than a full 2 hour concert. The latter is clearly more detrimental to her voice

Jay won't flop, but I think this will be his weakest numbers yet. Ye will probably be outperformed by Cole in the long run, but it'll be overlooked because he took a risk.

I'm now thinking Kendrick Lamar has a chance at Best Rap Album. For some reason, I see Kanye and Jay-Z falling under the radar, and I don't know what to expect from Drake, not that I even think about him.

Same, although I think they'll definitely give it to Jay, depending on how the after release push is for the album.

It's a really nice year for Hip-Hop. I still think they'll give Macklemore a nomination + maybe a win for one of the Hip-Hop song awards.

True. She also didn't probably take care of her voice. Mariah's mother, a opera singer, warned Mariah to treat her vocals better than she did.

Even Whitney never lip-synced after her vocals drastically decreased in quality.

Jay's always been slightly overrated to me and a mere hype machine.I Honestly think Ye is better and far more creative. Nas deserved Jay's commercial success even though he doesn't give a **** about it.

You know I think Whitney's 09 comeback was nice. Many dont agree but I think it was. Not judging the album itself, but the overall attempt at a "return to form".

Rap Performance for "Thrift Shop," maybe.

I wouldn't be surprised (now) if they get nominated for Best Rap Album and win. They're white with back-to-back hits.

Kendrick deserves to win Best New Artist and Best Rap Album. If J. Cole gets nominated, he and Drake could siphon votes from Kendrick leaving someone like Macklemore or Jay-Z/Kanye to win.

I'm over Kanye and Jay-Z winning every year. I don't think Jay-Z has went home emptyhanded since 2002. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong. There may have been one year where he didn't win anything, but I'm not certain.
