I thought You're Next was great because it was refreshing to have a horror character that isn't a complete dumbass. The twist was predictable but that doesn't necessarily make it bad.
k im a huge horror movie stan in general so I'm in love with this thread
since i was young I've always was obsessed with the halloween and scream franchise.
I also loved
The strangers
Black xmas
Dead Silence
The new FT13TH
And I recommend Visitor Q, In a Glass Cage, Niku Daruma, Audition, Melancholie der Engel, Antichrist, and Where the Dead Go to Die (that one is purely for ***** and giggles)
They're shock horror or just disturbing if that's what any of you are looking for.
August Underground 2 = Guinea Pig 2 > A Serbian Film > The ball crushing scene in "I Spit on Your Grave 2" >>>> Human Centipede 2 >>>> August Underground 1/3 >>>>> The rest.

Suspiria's soundtrack is infamous for how annoying and tedious it is.
but the movie is decent and it definitely has a way of capturing the viewer and playing with their imagination. I'd recommend it!
a little shameless promo
A few horror films were nominated in my Modern Era Film Countdown and I'd love if you guys could participate.
I have the same problem as most of people in this thread, can't really find anything I haven't wacthed before. I saw lately that DVD flick with Mila Kunis, Camp something, can't remember, Haunting of Sorority Row, and I'm watching The Dark at the moment.
