I can't believe TPP isn't slaying. It's her best album by so much. The singles really did mess up the album campaign.

She should've did:
Lead: Truffle Butter in May 2014 — Straight Urban so people expecting her to sell out would've been wrong. It went T20 without any video or promo. Perform it at Billboard Music Awards, then BET Awards. Release music video too and easily a T10.

2nd: Get On Your Knees in July 2014 — release this instead of Bang Bang which didn't even make her album. Ride Ariana's hype and get another easy T10. Perform this at the VMAs and everything instead.

3rd: Only in September 2014 — release it 2 weeks before the album. Perform it at the American Music Awards and with the video. It went #11 with the video mid week and promotion would've made it T10.

4th: Anaconda in November 2014 — get the iconic video and quick lil single out during the Holiday to keep the album steady and bring another T10.

5th: The Crying Game premiered at 2015 GRAMMYs — Premiere TCG @ the GRAMMYs. A soft appealing Rap ballad on acclaim night. She would've had it in the bag and a possible GRAMMY the next year.


Know it's impossible since she kept pushing back and recording late but.

The PinkPrint is selling millions of singles and Nicki is selling out arenas around the world.

Billboard / Soundscan needs to start releasing pure+TEA+SEA totals so eras can really be compared in performance. I think a lot with Rap artists numbers just has to do with the climate change.

Nothing was the Same: 1.75M sales + 7.5M singles = 2.50M

Give or take 1 or 2M singles for each. + On-Demand steams took off when NWTS was released. He broke the Spotify album record at the time, and the album stayed in Spotifys T10 albums for nearly a year. That would push it to 2.6-2.7M.

I don't see it beating TD in consumption (TD is 6M+ in U.S. alone with consumption) or see it out charting it on BB200 since it's one of the T10 longest charting female albums ever.

I meant more along the lines of most weeks at #1/most weeks inside the top ten.
Teenage Dream will forever be her most successful album in the States, that's pretty clear at this point.
EDIT: And just for precision, TD would be at exactly 6.6M in the US with consumption
