It's still more country than anything the-other-girl has pulled out lately. End story.

And for the last time, STOP all the ******** around the single choice. It's all said and done. You can't change anything. She wants SUPPORT from us, not the endless negative feedback from the fans who don't like the song. Imagine how she will feel if she reads all the negative things you said here. I don't like some of her single choices in the past, MS for example, but I still supported it because I was her fan. I didn't endlessly drag the song like that.

I know, but I was trying to say - I didn't - was that I don't think SYA smashing all genres would help. x) Carrie doesn't seem the type of artists that would have back-to-back crossover hits. One hit wouldn't help her much, if at all.

Why you so mad, sis? People have opinions. We know complaining won't change Carrie's mind or her label's mind, but we still have opinions. It's not like people will revoke their stan cards because of one song. People still support her even though sometimes she makes poor single choices, just like MS, which people actually supported and are still supporting ha.

Everyone can express themselves on their opinion of the single but to keep going on about it doesn't make sense but whatever floats their boats
I plan on doing my daily requesting once it is sent to radio. Being fans doesn't mean you have love all of her single choices but supporting her anyways

I wonder what the music video for this? I dont think itll have a storyline like TBC and BA. I think itll just be Carrie in really big dresses with magic and really pretty scenery.

Two Black Bicycles.
Definitely. Blown Away totally overshadowed Two Black Cadillacs, which is a shame cause Two Black Cadillacs is really different and a very good song. That usually happens to every single released after a smash. Blown Away was the type of hit that Carrie needed, cause she didn't have massive hits off Play On (Cowboy Casanova is arguable, but it wasn't exactly a smash), it would only make sense for the next single to underperform. I can totally see See You Again exploding at some point.

I'm too lazy to scroll through 130 Mediabase links to request it. And classes will finally start in two weeks, after 4 months on vacation. I'm not ready. I won't have time.

I only do a section at a time. I don't request them all at once plus a few stations will play it if you tweet them

The way some people, both inside and outside ATRL say about this choice makes me really mad. It's like her career will end because of SYA. Can't reach top 15, as much country as Stay, will wipe her out of all the country awards...???? Do you really NEED to think and say that way?

MS got the same kind of reaction. It seems the 4th single always causes strong opinions

You never know what kind of reaction a song may get... Things could change in the blink of an eye. I also think it's silly to say her career will end or that it will flop big time... See You Again is the type of song that will either smash or flop. It's not like it will change something awards-wise, cause she's been snubbed as **** lately.

I didn't know about the twitter stuff, that's useful. It would be easier you could open all links at once and click on the "submit" button like all at once Too bad the mediabase links screw up the captcha.

No one here has said they dislike the song. We're all just worried that its pop-oriented sound might deter from its success on country radio. If Carrie were to read all of this, I'd think she'd appreciate that we want nothing but the best for her.

Yeah, I wish it was easier to request. I mostly request the big stations and then tweet a few that I know will play them usually right after tweeting them

Alright since my opinion is not allowed anymore I will post this.
I do not want to see any shading about how Taylor Swift's country songs are "too pop". If I see any of that I will do the reporting myself. I know we all love Carrie, but seriously. I'm going to be the "bad guy" and state what none of you want to hear.
See You Again is a pop song. I find it sad that Carrie hasn't catered to her traditional fans this era yet as Wine After Whiskey or Cupid's Got a Shotgun would of been far better single choices.
I'm not saying this will end her career, but if this gets a lot of airplay on Country its because it's Carrie. It'll have nothing to do with the fact that it's the least-country sounding song that will hit the country radios in the last few years. I have a right to state my opinion with out everyone calling me a flop stan, a non-supporter and being attacked by my own base.
Hopefully Carrie doesn't get a lot of negative feedback from her traditionalist fans. I would hate to see her go down the route that country radio starts to question her songs. I will support Carrie for this single choice but I am allowed to believe this has to be one of the poorest single choice of her career.

I think I'll start doing that too. A shame I don't live in the US because I always have to use HotSpot Shield... Internet gets slower and there are adds everywhere.
I'll start tweeting the stations.

Releasing or not releasing See You Again would not change her traditionalist fans' minds. She had already recorded See You Again and considering she released Good Girl, Blown Away and Two Black Cadillacs, that aren't country-sounding, See You Again wouldn't make that big of a difference. And they were all hits.
And of course hits happen to be hits just because of the artist name attached to them, just like Mama's Song went #2, when it actually sounded Country. That's what happens, always happened and will most definitely keep happening.
Considering Taylor Swift has been way too busy trying to take over Pop radio, I don't think we'll have to worry about her. Begin Again peaked what, two, three weeks ago? And she hasn't even announced her next Country single, when she has already released 22 and shot the video. I think Big Machine will just let Highway Don't Care smash because it's Tim singing it.
I don't even lose my **** anymore over Taylor cause I have better things to do. Let Taylor be Taylor and let Carrie be Carrie.

You all have nothing to worry about, as long as Carrie's pop-leaning songs are considered "less pop" than whatever Taylor's releasing, she'll be fine.
And Red, Holy Ground, All Too Well, The Moment I Knew, Girl At Home and Come Back... Be Here are supposedly all being considered for Her next country radio single. I expect She will perform one of them at the ACMs. I get the sense that they're going to pick one of the first 3... Red and Holy Ground are both poppier than See You Again, so...
